This restaurant is top notch. Our server was awesome. He explained everything on the menu. Made recommendations for different foods. Explained where the food came from to how hot the plate would be when it came out. The bread was awesome and kudos for serving it with nice soft butter we could actually spread on to the bread. Next came the main meal and side dishes. The steak was amazing, cooked a little under what was requested, because the plate is hot and the steak keeps cooking a bit while you eat. We ordered the Mac and cheese and the twice baked potato. They where both very good. Time for dessert we ordered the warm butter cake. Presentation very nicely done. Taste amazing and the whip cream on the side was great. Our server was very attentive, the person filling the water was polite and right in top of it. When the server was a bit busy. I believe the manager came over and asked how everything was, if we needed anything else, or if my husband wanted another beer. They could not have done anything more to make our experience any better.

McDonald's

Busy basement level McDonald's on Connecticut Avenue near my hotel in Washington D.C. In town for a week - only one visit to McDonald's, and that's because my kids forced the visit on a cold and wet Monday.I hate to give 4 stars, but this particular McDonald's over performed on this particular visit. I ordered 4 Happy Meals - 2 with chicken nuggets and 2 with cheeseburgers - a separate 10 piece chicken nugget meal, and a Southwest burger combo meal. Pour your own drinks - which I did. Cashier offered me a soda carrier for them. As for the meals, the Happy Meals had both french fries and Go-Gurt, when it's normally one or the other. Plenty of condiments and napkins in my bag. Polite and friendly service. Fast moving line and fast completion of my order upon placing it. No issues, with the exception of a couple of homeless individuals outside the upstairs door.William E. This place is a really nice one for carnivores. The ambiance is very high class and it got a really old school steakhouse vibe mixed with modern luxury. The service was pretty laid back despite the level of people around us frequenting the restaurant. We had the ceasarsallad followed by a new york strip and a file with peppercorn sauce. It was 2 of the best and most tender cuts of beef we ever have tasted and we have been to a lot of great places in the U.S and europe. And YES the war butter cake is a must and AMAZING. This coming from a couple who doesnt like desserts.......Its enough to share. Prices are high. With one bottle of medium priced one our bill came to 250 $. This was without any pre-dinner cocktails. So its expensive but if you can afford it. Why not?

Absolutely delicious food, with a good flavor, but the prices can be somewhat expensive. I usually can order an appetizer or two and feel satisfied with the amount of food and how much I'm spending. DEFINITELY make a reservation in advance for your group! It is a spacious 2-level restaurant, but it can get VERY busy, and the seating areas that aren't booths can be quite tight and overcrowded. Two of the three times I've been, I have felt more comfortable simply sitting at the bar.

Not a real Panera Bread like in The US. Sailors Bar talk here plus the kids (staff) need training on food prep and restaraunt edicate. I don't eat there because I vomited after and don't segest you tip either.

Toni was rude from the gate. She only wanted to flirt with the male patrons. I had to call the mgr for service. Then i asked for an item off the menu. She tried to talk me out of getting it. Finally she allowed me to order what i wanted. After I ate, she quickly tried to close my tab, all while I'm enjoying my wine. When I informed her that I was not ready, she flippantly told the bartender to close the check. She was beyond rude

DO NOT EAT HERE.DO NOT EAT HERE. IT DOESN'T DESERVE YOUR MONEY OR PATRONAGE. Their service is terrible and the owner is a petty, unprofessional white guy who doesn't appreciate or respect his customers. And the waitresses steal change while unleashing personal vendettas on unsuspecting customers. My experience: i came here to order out for a friend's birthday &placed my order at the bar. I've never been treated so disrespectful - the bar waitress (black blonde girl) was unprofessional & apparently had some personal vendetta against me as soon as i walked in (even though i had never met her before in my life). Even though i was the patrom nearest to her, she made sure to give me my menu last, take my order last, never introduce herself or greet me, & not accept my payment. All of my friends received bad service as well, though not as deliberate&harsh as mine. I literally waited 30 min with my credit card out on the counter, ready to render payment & she ignored my request on 3 separate occasions. My friend even asked her to finish my order&she insisted that i was done. She even tried to pocket my friend's change who paid cash. After 15 additional minutes of receiving our food& still being ignored by the bar waitress, it was clear she had no plans to officially close us out & we decided to cut our losses & leave. After all, who has to beg to settle their bill - especially when the waitress already stole some of your party's money. 20 secs later, security & the spineless owner rush down stairs & literally try to muscle us, accusing us of trying to skip out on the bill. Tf??? We go back upstairs to settle the dispute & the waitress tells my friend whose change she tried to steal "oh you were good, you didn't have to come back", as she continued to still ignore me with my credit card out for another 5 minutes. She admitted she hadn't returned his change & gave my friend some of his change back (pocketing the rest). Thennnnnnnn 3min later, she finally acknowledged my presence &ran my card. On the way out, we asked for the bag they offered on our way out the first time just for the bitch ass owner to have the hostess lie to us&tell us they were out. Not only is the service awful, but the treatment by the owner was highly offensive & petty as hell. Who withholds to-go bags from carryout patrons. Plus, even the security officer admitted the waitress/restaurant had received the same complaints before. Smh Bottom line: What a piece of crap place. beware of this place, the spineless/petty/weak owner, and the bitchy short, blonde bar waitress. THEY DON'T DESERVE YOUR MONEY OR PATRONAGE. Their service is terrible and the owner is a stiff, stuffy white guy who doesn't appreciate our respect his customers.
