Washinton Zoo

The best think about the Washington Zoo: it's free. We always take the metro train to the zoo. It is a good walk ater you get off the train, but my son always enjoyed the train ride.

The zoo itself is big and hilly so you will do plenty of walking. go early if it is going to be a hot day. The food is a little costly so you might want to bring a lunch and some water. There is lots of animals to see so i don't think your children will go home disappointed.
