I am picky, picky, picky!! Got a referral for District Relocators from an associate. I moved from a two bedroom house to a more spacious three bedroom house in Georgetown. How stressful is moving? With these guys, it was ""move with ease."" Because of their experience, for us, it seemed that moving from one home to the next was almost seamless. Great Value!!Highly Recommend.

District Relocators are AWESOME!
I needed help moving some large pieces of hard to carry furniture from my upstairs bedroom down narrow staircase in Alexandria, VA. The three movers showed up on time, were courteous throughout and moved everything without scratching anything - including my walls! They charged a very fair rate and were just very nice folks. I will use them again for sure.

I've now used these guys twice and I cannot possibly say enough about how awesome they were. The first time, I was moving from a house to a third floor walk-up and they were so great that two years later when it came time to move again they were the first people I called. I had different people for the two moves, but all of them were smart, funny, and quick. My stuff arrived in great condition. Also, these guys know DC - no random wandering around looking for your place - they were on time and got to the new apartment quickly.
Their hourly (you pay different rates for 3 or 4 guys) includes all the furniture pads they need, wrapping the furniture, and assembly of stuff. For his last move, my fiance used another company that was quoting a lower price but ended up paying twice as much as the initial quote because of hidden fees. District Relocators actually came in under the estimated time on my last move and ended up charging me $30 less.
Fast, Efficient, careful with your stuff, and worry-free. I'm going to continue to use them for any move I have in the DC area. I can't recommend these guys enough.

I am no stranger to moving as I have moved with good old Uncle Sam 4 times over the last six years. No once can beat a free military move, those of you in the Army know what i'm talking about. I must admit I was skeptical about choosing a commercial mover because of all the horror stories of them overcharging you and kidnapping your first born. I was pleasantly surprised that these guys did a decent job moving my furnitire and didn't hold me or my kid hostage. I don't have the nicest stuff, but i'm glad that it looks the same as it did in my new place as it did in the old one. It feels good to watch other people lifting heavy wooden items up stairs rather than doing it myself. Good work guys, you make it look sooo ez!
