What a great experience. I had originally rented from another vendor. The prices were out of this world for an upgrade to the next level (even as a presidential member). I decided to walk over to National, and they were AWESOME. They took great care of me, matched my status and I walked out with the appropriate rental for less than what I paid for a lower level at the opposition. I am a convert to National. YOU SHOULD BE TOO !!!!!
I recently rented a car through National at this location for a business trip. A great experience as always. They actually had a Camaro as an option, which made my visit a bit more fun. Last summer I rented with Budget/Avis based on a advertised discount that they did not honor - actually changed the price after I reserved the car. National is so professional and customer oriented - I'm glad to send them my business.
DCA rentals are great - I agree with the reviewer that pointed out the lack of gas stations, but otherwise it's pretty excellent. I knocked off a star for Selection only because IAD is better (they have more lot space to hold a wider variety of cars), but other than that it's a five-star experience - great service, clean cars, no waiting!
The folks at Enterprise are ALWAYS nice, helpful and efficient, and this Enterprise in Southwest DC is no different. We loved the car, their customer care, and being able to return car keys past office hours, in a keydrop. But they ARE busy, and somewhat difficult to reach by phone. Hang in there, they will return your call.
I've been using National Car Rental for more than 10 years. Except for one year when I rented a Van with Florida tags infested with Cockroaches for which I never received any sympathy let alone a refund from the manager, I have been very satisfied overall. Service and price beats the competition hands down 90+% of the time.
With our first car, the faulty tire indicator light came on. I took it back, we got a new car, but when I went to fill the 2nd car with gas upon return I COULD NOT get the gas fill panel open. It was a push design, NOT a lever release. I checked the manual. Jeffrey Condon
I made my reservations in advance but mistakenly reserved for July instead of August. When I got there and we became aware of the mistake at the counter the agent worked magic and matched the original reservation price. I really appreciated the great customer service.
Pick and return is a breeze at National. The only hassle is the lack of convenient refueling locations but that's not National's fault. Great rates, easy pick-up, drop-off and easy trip to and from flight or metro. What more could you ask for?
Only one person at counter helping customers sign in for vehicles with long line of customers; poor service. Fortunately there was a self-service machine to process my rental and it went smoothly after using the machine.
National is by far the best car rental company out there. Great cars to choose, convenient to pick your car and leave without stopping at the counter for members and great pricing. Always use them
