The worst experience I could ever imagine. That day I was celebrating my BD and obviously I got tipsy and somehow I found myself in one of these cabs (24869486299262922460107 October 24th 2016) cab driver dumped me on an empty street around 2:00 am . I was not able to recognize the place where this guy dumped me. After twenty minutes a nice lady helped me and call an uber for me. And I'm sure that I left my new phone accidentally in the cab, but of course driver never reported it. My card was charged for 59.72 bucks although cab driver picked me from Shaw area and dumped within DC...Never AGain..!!!

My experience was great. I needed a cab at 4:30 AM to get to the airport just after the blizzard but with limited road access. The pick-up was on time and I got to the airport quickly. The car was clean inside and well cared for.
Avoid this taxi service at all costs. The driver of the vehicle was very rude. He took us on the scenic route around all the monuments on the way to Georgetown. Icon cab number 39.
I wish I had read the reviews before I used this taxi service this morning! The most awful experience I have ever had with a taxi company. They are not even deserving of one star because a one star ranking would mean they did something. Yesterday I requested a cab for 6 AM, and I confirmed twice that a cab would be dispatched. Come 6:15 AM, no cab and I am starting to panic. I called the company, and they put me on hold for about ten minutes when I decided to hang up and try again. I called and they immediately put me on hold again. By now, I am panicking and stressing because I was planning on getting to my workplace by 6:30. Instead of comfortably arriving according to my schedule, I am four blocks away from my home trying to find ANY cab. I never got a phone call from the company explaining what happened, and I came to work late on my first day. It was unnecessary stress. WHATEVER YOU DO, do NOT use this company. There are many other companies.

I used this cab company to go from SE DC to downtown at 5:30am. Arranged it the day before. DIspatcher was professional and repeated my address/phone back to me to ensure accuracy. Got an automated phone call 20 min. before cab arrived. Arrival was on time, even a little early. Cabbie was friendly and professional. I would definitely use Yellow Cab again.
Totally incompetent -- Sun Cab will let you down.Two days prior to needing a ride to airport (with two children), I booked Sun Cab with the Taxi Magic app. Received confirmation email.When cab was 10 minutes late, I called sun cab -- dispatcher told me to wait "a while" and see if someone showed up.10 minutes later I called again, explaining that we were running out of time. Dispatcher again suggested that I wait and call back in 15 minutes if nobody showed up. (??!!)1 minute later I called again (to try to get someone more competent on the phone). She said that Sun Cab would "assign a cab to me shortly." What?!!! I'm nearly half an hour late and Sun Cab doesn't even have anyone assigned yet? The dispatcher replied that the pick up time is "not a guarantee". I explained that I needed to get to the airport and that it would take time to load my kids car seats into the car.This part is awesome: The dispatcher replied, "Well, you should have told us you were travelling with children." I responded, "Read what I wrote in the 'special instructions' for the pickup". Dispatcher: "Sir, what you wrote is that you were bringing two child car seats." Me: (waiting, hoping the dispatcher would keep moving forward...waiting...waiting... The dispatcher just sat in silence, apparently never associating "child car seat" with "child"). Apparently you need to tell Sun Cab NOT ONLY that you will be loading two car seats in the taxi but ALSO THAT CHILDREN WOULD BE SITTING IN THEM. !!! Perhaps Sun Cab transports people all the time who just wander around with child car seats but no children....Anyway, that still didn't explain why they were late. Dispatcher continued to stall. I called Barwood (ugh!) and they managed to find someone to get me. I called Sun Cab two more times, but kept getting the answer "we are assigning a cab to you now".One hour and 30 minutes AFTER my scheduled pickup time, I received a text message from Sun Cab saying that my pickup had been cancelled. I never did get a call from them -- driver, dispatcher, anyone.Sun Cab may actually be worse than Barwood, and I never imagined I'd say that about ANY company.Do yourself a favor, get a ride from a friend, hitchhike, whatever it takes, just don't rely on Sun Cab because they WILL let you down.
Like everyone else who complains about these guys, I called for a cab that never came. Sadly, this company is just like every other cab company in this city: Worthless.

Don't use Diamond. I called once and asked for a cab to pick me up from my office and it never showed. For some stupid reason I decided to give them another chance, but I got smart this time and called to schedule a cab in advance. The guy told me a car couldn't be scheduled in advance. What?! Useless.
