Tender Hearts Child Care & Learning Center

My experience with Tender Hearts was nothing short of outstanding. My daughter was enrolled there from infancy to Kindergarten and everything about this center, especially the people, was very positive. One of the things I appreciated most about this organization was its incredibly low turnover rate for teachers and staff. When my daughter left at the age of 5, virtually all of her previous teachers were still there, and likely will be for years to come. I find that kind of dedication and consistency in day to day routine important for children and it is not often found in many daycare settings. Debbie and Bob Thompson are extraordinarily dedicated to the children they care for and teach. This place is one of those rare gems that when you find it nothing less will do. I can not recommend this place more strongly, or thank them nearly enough.

Tender Hearts is wonderful! Administration: Debbie & Bob Thomson & their daughter Stephanie have an incredible knowledge & passion for early education & the development of children. My family is always greeted with a smile & all three are attentive to any questions we may have. You immediately feel welcomed in their center. Lisa Johnston, Director, is excellent! Like the Thomsons, she is accessible, knowledgeable and eager to assist in any way possible; knowing all families by name. Staff: Excellent! It's apparent that the Thomson's hold their staff to the highest caliber. They are warm, inviting and caring. Cleanliness - They set the bar! Soiled clothes are rinsed, even put thru the washer when possible. Technology: iPads are used in classroom curriculums, video surveillance, electronic sign in, electronic debts for payment. The art projects are awesome! Water play in the summer! Right off 95! Excellent center & reasonable in cost! Highly recommend! Susie E- Mom of 2 and 1 on the way!

My wife and I placed our son at Tender Hearts two and a half years ago half days more for socilaization with children his own age rather than necessity, as my mother and grandmother watched him. I can honestly say that it has been an exceptional experience for our son and that the staff and teachers are well qualified, caring, and nurturing. Of all the concerns parents have today, sending your child to Tender Hearts will not be one of them.

I can't say enough about Tenderhearts - it is a wonderful child care facility. We have been attending for +3 years, and what a blessing it has been. The teachers are very genuine, caring and patient. The staff deserves a huge thank you for helping with so much of their development, from education and manners to socialization and even potty training. In addition to the love and great curriculum, they are a great facility to work with. They do their best to stay open during inclement weather and their nurse is an amazing resource when you have those first time experiences and need guidance. We are writing this because we are relocating and unfortunately will need to change daycares in the process. I have visited 6 daycares to find something close to what I've experienced at Tenderhearts and nothing is coming close. Tenderhearts, thank you for helping in the growth and development of my girls, and thank you for making our lives easier in the process. We will miss you!

By far the best daycare in the state. They really are amazing. The staff are caring, experienced, intelligent and proud of where they work. The owners are honest, dedicated caring people who love the kids. I cannot say enough wonderful things about tender Hearts. An amazing place.

I think very highly of the program at Tender Hearts. I have had either one or both of my children in Tender Hearts for the last five years. They provide quality services. The environment is clean and safe. All the staff are caring and professional. Each program has developmentally appropriate toys and activities that enrich your child's development. In addition, they have different outside programs that come to Tender Hearts whether it is weekly Tumble Bus or having a visit from sparky the puppetier or other animal/reptilian visits. Tender Hearts is a wonderful place for your children to grow and explore.

I never imagined that my child's daycare would make such an impact on my child and my family! As working parents, it was imperative that we enroll our daughter into a daycare at 3 months old. As heartbreaking as it was to leave her on the first day, I was thrilled with the outcome. Her caretakers at my request kept me posted throughout the day with updates. I arrived to pick up a very happy baby. As new parents, we leaned on the faculty for advice and suggestions for parenting, just as much as we did our pediatrician. Their advice always worked! My child was always engaged with activities, social interaction, and personal attention. The entire faculty knew my daughter's likes, dislikes and personality. She learned more than children her age enrolled at other centers. We recently moved and it broke my heart to take her away from Tender Hearts. We were so fortunate to have our daughter grow up among dedicated and loving caretakers as well as an outstanding educational program.

I am a teacher at tender hearts, being a teacher for many years i found the most wonderful place to teach, they really do care about the students at this school it is by far the best school i have worked at i honestly would say,,,, as a parent i highly recommend tender hearts to any parent who want;s their child to grow and learn this is by far the place to be,,,,,,,

Tender Hearts has provided child care for our three girls since May of 2007 (when our first was just 15 weeks old). We viewed numerous child care options prior to meeting with Debbie for a tour and were starting to get concerned that we would never find a child care facility that "felt right" to both of us. That all changed after our initial meeting! The facility was spotless, the staff enthusiastic and the children and families we observed all seemed to feel like a large extended family more than anything else. I can honestly say that is what we have found with Tender Hearts - an extension of our family - the entire staff love and care for our girls as if they were their own and truly know us as a family. In addition, our girls see the staff as family and are thriving and learning new things everyday. We highly recommend the staff and facility to any families looking for high quality child care in the Warwick area.

I can not say enough about Tender Hearts. I feel they have become part of my family. I trust them with my son and have since he was an infant. My son has been there for four years and he has excelled. When choosing a daycare my decision came when I found that Tender Hearts has a full time nurse at the school. This along with the friendly teachers and staff made my decision easier. They also let do a trial run before I left him there for the whole day. I am very happy with my decision to send my children Tender Hearts. Being a teacher, it was extremely important to me to find a center that focused on both social and academic development. Both my children have grown significantly in each area, often surprising me of all that they know. The staff is friendly and shows great interest in my children, making them feel safe and loved. Tender Hearts has always been very accommodating to the scheduling needs of my family, making it easier to be a working parent. I definitely recommend it.

I highly recommend Tender Hearts to any parent looking for a high quality, safe and dependable daycare facility for their child. My husband and I placed our daughter at Tender Hearts for her Pre-K and Kindergarten years. We made the switch from a private/in-home daycare that we absolutely loved; but wanted our daughter to have a more structured school setting before entering elementary school. Tender Hearts was the perfect selection. Upon entering the first grade, our daughter's teacher asked us where she went to Kindergarten because she was reading far above the entry level for Kindergarten. All thanks to Tender Hearts!

I made the decision over two years ago to place my son at Tender Hearts Child Care Center. I immediately knew the choice was right. The owners, manager, and staff have all been very caring, helpful, understanding and knowledgable. I can go to work knowing that my son is in a safe, clean and nurturing environment. I would, and have several times, recommended Tender Hearts to my friends.

I am continually impressed with the quality and dedication of the care provided at Tender Hearts Child Care and Learning Center. The staff is creative, flexible, empathic and attuned to the needs of both the children and the parents. The environment is one that focuses on enrichment and acceptance. My children love being there and I feel better dropping them off knowing that they are well cared for and the social and educational enrichment they get is top notch.
