We had a dishwasher, washing machine, 2 air conditioners and a snowblower checked. The 4 different service representatives were very polite, helpful, neat in appearance , knowledgeable and quick in doing their jobs. I am happy that I decided to take the service agreement with Sears.
Excellent tech service- refrigerator model 253 needs a recall- too many repairs -3-4 in 2-3 years. I have other Kenmore appliances that are up to 20 years old and no problems. I suggest less plastic and more steel go into appliances- luckily - I have a protection agreement- but do I keep this refrigerator if it continues to need service after the agreement expires
Although the technician who came out on this 9th yes I said 9th service call for a 2 year old refrigerator was great, the protection agreement is a complete waste of money. I have been messing around with the PA policies and procedures for 2 years....starting 2 months after purchase. It is quite obvious that the model I purchased- Kenmore top freezer 18 cu ft black refridgerator was a lemon. And to be told that I missed the required 4 calls in a year by a day sent me into a tizzy. I spent 3 hours on hold all together trying to talk to someone about the 8th repair. After the 9th call I FINALLY am getting money towards a replacement fridge and then I'm only getting $480 where as I paid over $1000 for the fridge and PA. $650 for the fridge. When I asked why I was only getting $480 I was told that although the model I had was no longer available ( no kidding it was a piece of crap) that's the average cost to replace now. So..in effect I'm being penalized for the fact that I was dumb enough to buy this over priced piece of crap. If I could give less than one star I would.
