Concentra Urgent Care

My son was injured in a wrestling match on Thursday, December 12th, 2013; the sports trainer recommended we rush my 14yr old son to an urgent care. I took him to the Warren location and arrived about 6:15pm My son tried to enter while I was parking and with the inner door locked he spoke to a women through the door and she said, "We cannot see you, you need to go to the Fraser one between 13 and 14." They don't even close until 7pm and had approximately two people waiting in the lobby. So I then rushed him to Sterling Urgent Care at 14 Mile and Schoenherr, where he was seen promptly.



A week later, Thursday, December 19th, 2013 I was able to reach the manager, Jessica McCloud and she said they never turn anyone away and apologized. She even asked if I was sure it was before 7pm and I told her I have my receipt from the other urgent care with the time of 6:40 pm proving I was at the warren location prior to closing. She also had me describe the women my son talked to. She said she spoke with the staff and no one remembers a young boy at the door. My reply was, "of course not." She went further to say I hope we can help you in the future and I replied' "I don't think so, no thank you."



All in all, I guess I could say it was a blessing because the staff at Sterling Urgent Care was wonderful and compassionate. Dr. Chang has great bedside manner and her diagnosis and recommendations were confirmed with the specialist we saw two days later.
