ZERO STARS! BEWARE- L.A. Sickness...This place is submerged in rude, disgusting people with ZERO manners and ZERO customer service. The hot tub is always full of black soot and hair, the pool ALWAYS has hair, wax ear plugs and sometimes even foreign materials floating around (Once when I was doing laps there was cotton stuffing-like from inside of a pillow, in large chunks just resting at the bottom of the pool...-No joke!) Members leave empty water bottles, paper towels littered all around the gym, the locker rooms and especially around the hot tub and pool. People are allowed to bring their cell phones into the locker rooms and onto the floor (when there are signs that say you cannot) and talk SUPER LOUD on their phones, take pictures and videos of whatever... Are there no privacy laws or just common decency? The machines are always un-calibrated, broken for MONTHS at a time, the heart rate monitors are broken on almost every machine, the light in the sauna is always broken, They crank the heat WAY up during the colder months with no careful consideration to what that can and will do to a person with health issues (i.e. heart trouble) You let people work up their own sweat, at their own pace... You don't crank the f'ing heat while all of the treadmills are on the second floor...WHERE HEAT RISES!!!?We have had people just open the personal lockers for us without even asking who we are, asking for I.D.- We locked ourselves out once and they did this, then the 2nd time we were testing them... Without fail they opened the small locker and let us take the contents... We could have been ANYONE, ripping off someone else s belongings... We not only have tried to talk to the staff (which is ever changing and not getting better, they are shockingly getting worse) but nothing ever happens... In fact the rude red-headed guy will talk over you, talk back to you and then disregard you... Nice idea of customer service guys... Nothing is clean, staff is useless and getting a free paycheck. This place is disgusting!!!

I signed up for a trainer with 5 sessions, I didn't get one!!! Every time they said a trainer would contact me, they would set up a time and each time the trainer would call and cancel. Then I had paid for tanning but my card would never work for the beds. Then I moved 50+ miles away from this location and wanted to cancel my membership but they wouldn't allow me to because I was within 35 miles of another location. I checked with that location and their policy was that I could cancel if I moved 15 miles away from them, but that it only mattered what the location where I signed up with said. Finally my 2 yrs contract was up and I was able to cancel without paying. So I went to the office and canceled, except that the manager wasn't there so he took my name and info and told me he would cancel the second he came back. 2 months go by and I notice my membership fees are still being takin out of my bank account. So I call and talk to Vince, he says that I have to come back in and cancel because the first guy never did. It takes me awhile to get down there because I had moved so far away, so I finally make it down there and now they've taken out a total of 6 months of membership fees after I had tried to cancel. Vince assures me that he will do what ever it takes to get my money back, says he can for sure reverse 3 months but will have to work on the other months. Right In front of me he inputs the info into the computer and says I should have the money in a few business days. Of course I'm looking for the money into my account, and what do you know, it never comes. Now I call corporate to see if they can tell me anything and they say that the order was started then revered!!! And that they can't do anything to help me. Now when I call he doesn't answer or return my messages! This place is a joke and will rip you off every chance they get!!!!!! DO NOT Sign up with this gym!!!!! One star is waaaayyyyy too much
Every time I go into this gym I feel violated. All of the men that work in there gawk and the manager at the front desk (Matt?) is a pervert. I always catch him starring and he makes me very uncomfortable every time I'm there. I thought after a month it would get better but it hasn't. Also, this is the dirtiest LA Fitness I have ever been too. The only thing good about it is that it is open until midnight. I will definitely be cancelling my membership.
My name is ken i been coming to this gym the lat 2 years, i workout here 3 days a week. I wouldnt go to no other gym but here i love this place in the people i met are so uplifting, supportive. I lost so much weight theres no other gym in Mi like anytime fitness.
This has been a seriously horrible experience. At first I enjoyed the small size of the gym, but when more than 5 people are in there, you feel like you are cramped and on top of each other. Things just got worse from there. There is no locker room, just a men's and women's bathroom with showers in them. So if you are planning on showering after your work, think again. You will either have to wait for someone to finish, or you will be taking over the only bathroom for that gender while you are showering. Also the shower is pretty gross and doesnt look like it is cleaned often or at all. Speaking of cleanliness, there are only 4 spray bottles and rags for the entire facility, and no one cleans after themselves. I got incredibly sick with norovirus after my last visit to this facility. It was the only place a went to that wasnt home or work that week, and I am 99.9% I picked it up there. Probably because no one cleans up after themselves.The staff are obviously not cleaning as I used attempted to use the same treadmill several times over a couple weeks and found the same water bottle cap and gum wrapper in the cup holder. The staff doesnt really do much of anything. I have had to wait 15 mins to use a machine because one of the members was sitting on it while having a phone conversation and the staff says nothing. Also, people bring their children in and allow them to run around and the staff does nothing. The personal trainers are incredibly aggressive and will call you constantly to attempt to make appointments and remind you if you haven't been in in a while. I explained to every single one of them that I was not interested. Also, having listened in on some of their training sessions, it doesnt seem like they have had any formal training. I heard one woman tell someone to do an exercise that goes past any normal person's range of motion. It's just a lawsuit waiting to happen.The gym says you have 24 hr access with a keycard, but the door is broken quiet often. For three weeks it had a sign up that read it would be "fixed 2maro" which just looked incredibly unprofessional as well as not truthful. If the door is broken, it is almost impossible to get inside unless someone already in the gym helps push the door open. On more than one occasion, I showed up to work out and the door was broken and I had couldnt get in and had to turn around and go home.Also, beware that you will be signing up for a 2 year contract that you can not cancel, even if you are willing to pay a cancellation fee. The only way you can cancel is to death, doctor's note, or to move more than 15 miles from a facility. So I am still stuck with this horrible gym for another couple months. SERIOUSLY AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
We were told our party room could fit 35 people, 22 guests arrived and there was barely seating available for half our guests, while our remaining guests stood without enough space to comfortably move around the room. I can't imagine what we would have done if our other ten guests were able to make it. When we brought this to the attention of our party coordinator, she responded in a very unprofessional manner and was even complaining about us and our party goers to her staff. I would recommend checking out the party space before booking your party, do not go by the staff recommendations and be understanding that this is an inexperienced staff.
