I haven't been treated this poorly since I was in boot camp. I went to pick up my mower from the repair shop and was berated for coming during the service manager's lunch hour. I was told I would have to wait an hour before I could get it. Since it was April 1st, I hoped this was cute prank. To my horror, I discovered that not only was the indignant woman executing the tongue lashing serious, she also claimed to be the owner. I said 'Great', this should be no problem. You are the one that can get me on my way. She claimed that she didn't have a key and couldn't unlock the gate. Apparently, she's the 'owners wife'. Its like the difference between the titles 'assistant manager' and 'assistant to the manager'.



I had to wait - no apology. An hour later, when I paid, I was reminded again that it was my fault. Does anyone think I'll go back? How about keeping this little incident under may hat? I don't think so.
