Went to Vic Stewarts last night for a Retirement Dinner and was greeted the moment we walked in. we were seated at the time of our reservation. We were seated in the 1909 pullman train car and were greeted by Murry our server and taken care of very well through out our dinning period. The food and service were very good and Murry explained our choices and we received our food at the appropiate times and never went with out the need of water or coffee or anything we needed throughout the time we were there for dinner. It is a great dinning experiance!

Vic Stewart's was the first steakhouse in Walnut Creek. I've been there a few times and i've had great experiences every time. The food tastes wonderful and the service has always been outstanding. The second you walk in, you are greeted by friendly hostesses, and the wait time is never an issue. The bartenders are extremely attentive and friendly. The manager is always around to make sure everyone is having a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone if you're looking for a great dinner. I give this place more than just 5 stars. Don't go to Ruth's or Flemmings, they are your typical chain restaurants that serve overpriced tasteless steaks.
P.S. Don't waste your time to write a bad review just because you didn't get bread, next time... maybe you should just ASK for bread. :-)

Vic Stewart's is an amazing restaurant. It's a local steakhouse in downtown walnut creek. The food was DELICIOUS, and the service was great. As soon as you walk in, you are immediately greeted, there are many different rooms for dining. The bar is beautiful. It's no wonder they stay in business. If you are looking for a great steak, tasty wine, and amazing / friendly service, go to vic stewarts!

As a frequent diner, where do I begin with this awful experience. My department went to Vic Stewart's for our holiday luncheon. This was a joke. First we did not receive bread along with our meal as other tables did. Our waiter appeared to have a bit of an attitude with us. I believe this was because we were a large party and our tip was included. Our co-workers from another table sent us appetizers as a gift and the waiter stopped us from eating these appetizers before saying ""these do not belong to you"". We told them our co-workers ordered them for us. First of all there is a better way to tell people that there may have been a mistake (even if there actually wasn't). Lastly, we requested dessert menus and we were told that we could not have any. Even though the manager that organized the luncheon was the one requesting the menu. She asked a second time and the waiter finally agreed. We placed our order but we were not even asked if we'd like coffee or tea with our desserts. This was one of my worst dining experiences ever. The wait staff was rude and abrasive. In addition when I called to make a complaint, the manager I spoke to was unapologetic. I highly DO NOT recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner here for the 3rd time in about 10 years and this will be the last time. For the amount of money you spend on a good meal here, you expect a quality dining experience. The food is average, but the ambience and other clientale made this one of the worst meals we have ever had. We were seated in the ""Boardroom"". There were 2 other tables that were horribly loud and rude. Making snorting noises even. If you want to go out to what appears to be a nice restaurant and wear your sweats and be really loud, this is your place. Not what I want to be aroud when I go out for a nice meal. When we complained, they seemed surprised. Good way to lose customers!

I have seen their advertisements when I travel, and went there 3 times. Each time the place was almost void of customers, the service was slow and the food was terrible. On the second visit, I took some out of town guests. They thought the overall experience was lacking and on the way out we met the owners. I told them of my two bad experiences and they begged me to give it one more try. I did, and as the saying goes three strikes and you are out. I have no idea how they remain in business.
