Food is good, been there a few times, but the last time I went (couple days ago) the waitress AND the waitor didn't know the difference between a Filet Mignon and a Prime Rib. We explained to the waitress that what was delivered was not a Filet Mignon and we didn't want to be charged extra, but she insisted that it was. I got tired of arguing with her about it, and just gave up. Every time we go to Stanford's we order the Filet Mignon, so how is it different now? They need to know the difference of what they are cooking, and delivering to tables! A filet Mignon is fat and round, a prime rib is long and flat!

My wife and I have been making a point to go out each Friday night to sample the great restaurants in Walnut Creek. We received a coupon to this restaurant from our credit card company, and so we eventually decided to give it a try. The coupon should have been our first major clue that this place has problems. Why would a great restaurant in Walnut Creek need a coupon?
This was by far the absolute worse food I've have ever been served in a restaurant. Even the water tasted dirty. I would bet that if we walked into any 6th grade glass and gave the kids a recipe to follow they could make the dishes taste better than the awful cooks produce at Stanfords in Walnut Creek.
There are so many great restaurants in Walnut Creek, you shouldn't waste a second of your life even thinking about this place.
The artichoke dip was greasy and over cooked and tasted awful. The pasta dish I ordered was awful. The crab sandwich we ordered had little crab (if any). Our conversation at the end of the meal was about how horrific the food was and where can we go afterwards to try and make our Friday night one that we would remember in a positive way.
The only good part about this meal was the bottled beer that my wife ordered, I guess they have not yet found a way to ruin that, but then we didn?t check the born on date.

i usually stay away from corporate restuarants because i find that the service and taste is usually sacraficed for a name. but my friends wanted to go so i did. the food was average at best, and the service was incrediably slow. i didn't find this place that upscale, not like a bing crosby or a larks creek definately but the ambience was nice. however, in my book service is key and becausse of that and the average food i dont think i'd be returning

A carnivore's paradise with generous portions and a lot of choices. It's not a huge place (neither is the shared parking lot), so come in before or after peak times.
It's upscale in terms of quality and service; dress can still be casual, being Walnut Creek after all.

Any time after 3 pm... just go in order a drink, and they have a menu of about 15 meals that can be yours for just another buck 50... salads to burgers to chicken to sandwiches... a great lunch value. Also say hey to Sean at the bar... his antics make the place worth the humor
