I was fortunate to have Norm Meshiry recommended to me during a stressful move and career change this year. When I met with him the first time, I was struck by his warmth, impressive experience, and caring interest in me -- my situation, my interests, my skills. Norm helped me seize upon two things I was dubious could be realized together: a plan of action to navigate a career transition with my values and passions in tow. Norm always was enthusiastic, insightful, and professional. His help polishing my resume and drafting a cover letter was excellent; Norm's gift, however, is how he was able to help me see myself anew -- to come to a deeper understanding of my interests and talents and their potential -- in such a short amount of time. I am eternally grateful to Norm for his invaluable help and can't recommend him enough to anyone who needs guidance and results!

As a company, we had the good fortune to have Norm recommended to us over 10 years ago, and we have been calling on him ever since. He is a professional and knows the ups and downs of career planning and transitioning - from both ""in the trenches"" experience in the business world to a strong academic grounding. The feedback that we've gotten from our staff has always been very positive - that he listens well, knows what he is talking about, and offers solid guidance and a well-developed plan of action. In fact, Norm is so good that I have referred several friends and family members to him when they were at a crossing in their careers. He is knowledgeable, experienced, easy to work with, has a gentle, caring manner about him, and is a true a professional.

Norm Meshiry assisted me greatly evaluating my career options. Norm gave me valuable advice on how to best present myself in an interview, and on a resume.
I found the tests he had me take to be very insightful and helpful.
I would highly recommend Norm to anyone looking for advise, and insight, on their career path.

Norm Meshriy has been instrumental in aiding me in a mid-life re-evaluation of career options. We started out with some standard diagnostic tests--Myers Briggs and the like--which pointed out my natural strengths and validated my own intuitions about the kinds of work, relationships, and opportunities that would best suit me at this stage of my life. This phase went very quickly and I felt I wasn't ready to dis-engage from my current work just yet, so I slowed the process down.
Now I see Norm for coaching on a bi-monthly basis. He is unfailingly attuned: dedicated to uncovering (and encouraging) the wisdom of my own unfolding intuition. When I need it, he can provide canny strategic advice stemming from his decades of involvement in the business sector, during which he has counseled thousands of people in various phases of their job searches. His goal is always to match a person's inherent aptitudes (and joys--the things that naturally produce a flow state for them) with a work-life path that will elicit and nurture these qualities.
I look forward to each coaching session with Norm as it is an opportunity to hear myself think--and be reflected back--in a very personal way, and through this process I am discovering new path possibilities I could never have anticipated in advance.
I used Norm's services recently as I began a new job search and needed to update a very old resume. He did a great job of accentuating the positive and diminishing the negatives and produced a wonderful resume that I have been using since that time. His turn around was quick and he was responsive with any issues that came up as we prepared the document. He was also very accomadating to my scheduling and was willing to meet me on a Saturday when I needed to.
I'd happily recommend his services and unhesitatingly recommend others consider him.
Norm is great. I began working with him ten years ago when transitioning from one career to another. At the time I was unsure whether I had the goods to make that change, but he guided me through the process. He got me to articulate my goals (and my qualifications) so that I could see for myself that it was possible. I continue to talk with him once or twice a year when I need to refocus and strategize and that has made a huge positive difference for me.
One of Norm's insights is that work can and should be satisfying. If you don't really love your job then a career counselor--someone like Norm who has worked with thousands of people--can help you sort out what's missing and make changes (small and large) that will make your work life more enjoyable and rewarding.
