We happened upon this place when looking for lunch and we're very happy that we did. That was about 8 months ago and we've been back dozens of times for breakfast and lunch. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh, the pastries are fantastic, and the setting is nice. On a nice day you can enjoy the outdoor seating then head over to Heather Farms. Or enjoy the rustic country feel inside and enjoy the sweet smells of the fresh baked goods.
We ordered Little Bit of This and That, Breakfast Sammie, and Niko's 2 Great Breakfast. Everything was delicious. Before our meal was served we enjoyed their salsa bar with homemade chips. They had cookie samples and they were delicious. Definitely will return to try more of their menu.
Located at the 9 hole golf course it provides a good post round drink. But the secret about this place is the local dinner scene... Lots of specials and karaoke nights gone wild.
People watching and brunch - that's my 1515 preferred activity. The scene for dinner and drinks is just not my style, it's very cougar chic and fits in well with walnut creek. They are usually very busy at night and there has to be a reason they fill the house most nights.
Muffins! Muffins! Muffins! They have great muffins! A great occasional morning treat with a cup of coffee. They also have other fantastic baked goods, some delicious cinnamon rolls. Also a good spot for celebrations cakes and dinner rolls. The best slider rolls you can find are right here at Sweet Affair.
Wife and I had a little time away from the kids to celebrate her bday. She had been to Sunol Ridge before and wanted to return as she liked is so much. This is a unique place, our service was great and the food was good. However, the menu is without a doubt overpriced, most items should be dropped by $5-$8. Also, this place is in conflict with itself. They have an amazing selection of microbrew and some good wines, bar food and higher end food. It wants to be a chill beer bar with TVs and a higher end restaurant. I'd give it 3.5 if that was an option.
I am a low fat vegan and it appeared the only thing healthy on the menu was the Happy Vegan. It was tasty but after inquiring about the nutritional info I was told they did not have any info in store and to check their web site. I did, no wonder they don't have it on hand, virtually everything is FAT laden. To me, it looks like a heart attack menu waiting to happen. It is sad the the name of the restaurant implies it is a healthy place to eat. It does taste good but what a price to pay.
Breakfast is great, but I've tried lunch a couple times and have been disappointed. Truth is that this place is great for kids, so I don't care what the food is like as long as they keep that train table to entertain my 2 year old.
I am really excited they will be offering a country dance night on thursdays!
