Dr. Noelle M Aikman, MD

I had been a patient at MCA a few years ago when I was living in the Wall area, and had good experiences there back then; so recently, having moved back to NJ, I made an appointment for my annual exam. I went to their website, checked to make sure my insurance was accepted, then proceeded to make an appointment through the online service they claimed to use, ZocDoc. I filled out all the information requested, even a pre-visit "check in," and received no phone call from MCA to say that anything was wrong with my online paperwork or insurance--only the automated call confirming my appointment. Upon arriving today, however--and after driving an hour to get to their location--I was informed that they actually do not take my insurance nor do they utilize any of the information posted to ZocDoc, despite what their website says, and my appointment would have to be canceled. No offer to make another appointment, no apology for the misinformation on their website. I was offended and felt quite disrespected, and now highly discourage anyone from utilizing the services of such an inconsiderate practice. I realize this doesn't speak to their doctors; but as insurance is such a major issue when dealing with appointments, I would not feel comfortable recommending a place that handles the issue so carelessly.
