We haven't been here for many years but we were happy with the food. For a chain the food is reasonably good but it is a chain restaurant and should be judged as that. I do love their skillatini which didn't disappoint me. Hubby had the lasagna which was better than mine....mostly because I didn't have to cook it. Their tiramisu was also as good as I remembered. The biggest complaint I had was the service which was rushed. The waiter was friendly but not very attentive and seemed like he would rather be someplace else...which he was. It seemed like he was in a hurry to get us out the door. He never picked up empty plates and they kept stacking up on the table which ended up being very crowded. The prices were a bit high but the quality of the food was decent but not the best italian food I've had. One thing I did notice is that not once did a manager come around asking if anything was ok and for that matter neither did the waiter. So, if you don't care about service and don't mind italian "style" food from a chain it's pretty good.

7. Red Lobster
Red Lobster is my favorite restaurant for seafood, especially the shrimp! I usually go between 2:00-4:00 p.m. to avoid the line(s). Servers are always pleasant and the food is always served at the right temperature. Thanks for the specials, RL!

I would give Lula Jane's a 10 star. Baked goods are all awesome. I think I have tried 25 items and all are fantastic. Husband loves coconut cream pie. I love the sausage breakfast quiche style pie. The sweets are all unique and glorious. Great pricing, great atmosphere. My husband and I try to go every time they are open. I bring the breads to daycare for my daughters class-they love the zucchini bread. I bring the breads to faculty meetings, and Providence hospital nurses-all love Lula Jane's and light up when you say you are bringing in food from there. I love the gingerbread cookies which I thought I would not, all is scrumptious, made from scratch the old fashion cooking way, no skipping corners, no skimping on ingredients, eat there, you won't be disappointed, come early they have limited parking, and limited seating, but this is just because everyone wants to eat there all the time. I have not eaten lunch there, but all other items.
I am very disappointed at the Bj's in Waco. When you walk in the door and they take you to the table they say "Make sure you get your sample beer." Then when ask the waiter for the beer they say no we have a sampler that you get. Then when you order food and you should get some type of break and you ask they charge 3.00 for it. They always have a person who works there sitting at a table with a lap top and talking loud to the employees on how they are doing. I have given them three tries and I am not happy. I can go eat at Texas Road house and get free bread and a LARGE stake for 15.00. Sorry they came to Waco. Not willing to lose money. VERY VERY disappointed.
We went to Chedars in Waco yesterday and I couldn't even eat the food that I got. I asked for no salt on anything and the Onion Rings were loaded with salt and the fries were full of it. The Monte Cristo as greasey don't think it was drained at all brought home half of the sandwich for the dogs. My husbands sandwich was full of salt too. I think their recipe base is SALT. not good for a hart patient
The food has potential not enough flavor in the fajitas should have cooked them with onion and bell pepper, flour tortillas came out of a bag and are disgusting, they hide not having flavor with covering everything with cheese not the total worst I have ever had but could be a lot better
I've travel to Waco weekly for business and NEVER miss a chance to stop in at this locally owned gem! Must try lunch specials and each dessert is absolutely scrumptious!
although it's a little ways out toward China Spring they serve really good Pho, but they were a little skimpy on the vegetables. Very reasonable prices.
I love the cheeseburgers and tots and the sweet tea can'tgo wrong here! It's a lil small for rush hour but well worth the wait....thanks Cupps
Large menu. Everything I've eaten was well prrpared and very tasty. Been there several times. Great beer selection. Pleasant waitstaff.
Best sweet tea I've had in a long time! The glazed carrots taste just like my grandma used to make
