I dropped off a vehicle and a head unit to be installed. Carlos told me he'd call me to confirm that the adapter he had would fit. After he failed to call, I phoned to inquire whether the adapter would work (so that I could schedule to pick up the truck). He told me that he had already started the job, the adapter did fit, and that he'd call me once the job was complete. Schroeders closes at 6 on weekdays. After I hadn't heard from Carlos, I called at 5:45. He told me the truck was finished.Upon coming to pick up the truck, Carlos told me that he "forgot" to install the Sirius adapter that was part of the head unit. He said it would only take 20-30 minutes to put on. When I told him that I'd wait, he said that they close at 6 and I'd have to come back.I told him not to worry about it and left. Upon returning to pick up the truck, I discovered feedback so loud that I couldn't hear the engine. When I called back, Carlos told me that he knew about it but decided not to tell me about it.Not only did Carlos drop the ball and ask me to come back rather than stay 15 minutes past closing, but he improperly installed the stereo and refused a refund.If you prefer abysmal customer service, sheer incompetence, and a refusal for the service provider to make it right after they drop the ball, Schroeder's is the place for you! If not, I'd steer clear.Go to Jacks instead. Much better all around.
