Breakfast at Avalon is the best! The eggs, bacon, pancakes and grits are all awesome. It gets crowded on Sunday mornings, so be prepared to wait in line for a table. The waitresses have attitude and flair, so if you're a grumpy morning person, you might want to wait until lunch time....then g…

Place is small and cozy. I have been a lot of places from mediocre to expensive. I noticed that at the expensive place, it was not a thorough pedicure but at Avalon, it was really thorough. I didn't have to pay too much for a manicure pedicure in this area either. Only $45. I will definitely go …

This bar is most definitely the bar of my choice if I am in the Clear Lake area! My review will be broken down into sections: -Location Upstairs and to the right of Scout Bar Coming from Houston, take I-45s to Nasa 1 Parkway(new exit south of the old Nasa 1 rd exit), then exit Egret bay and take a right, it is in the big 2-story building on the left just past the 1st light. -Parking Parking is free. If there is no parking right in front of the bar, they have a whole parking lot on the south side of Bucks(some of it is covered) -Entry When you first walk up, you will be welcomed by the friendly staff possibly even the owner(Buck) himself. If you are one of the first 100 people to arrive, you will get in free. It may be first 200 now, not sure(If not its only $5). However, if you arrive early, make sure you are with a group of people and are just wanting to get started with the drinking because the bulk of the crowd won't arrive until around Midnight. -Drink Cost The drinks are pretty cheap between 10 and 12 o'clock, but they never become unreasonable. They are even cheaper before 10. I think $6 is the most you will spend on a drink with a top-shelf liquor during peak hours. **Buck will get on the microphone and offer dollar Jager, Tequila, or some other great deals "if you can find him" at one of the 4 bars his is standing at periodically.** -Inside Details As mentioned before, there are 4 bars, 2 dance floors(one of which has stage area in center for girls only), and several VIP areas of which are treated extremely well! The joint has an excellent sound system and DJs that play mostly today's hiphop with some dance and the random throwback songs. All in all, if you want to shake it on the floor, it accommodates you. They also usually have some pretty good break dancers in there going off for some entertainment! They even have a couple of pool tables and a punching bag for you guys that need to let some aggression out or have a competition with your buddies. Hell, I have even seen some cute girls line up for some action. -Crowd This is where some of you may like or dislike it, but I will be real. There is not a strict dress code, therefore, there is a mixture of styles here. They do have some very good looking people(both men and women) that come here, though. It is also 18 and up for women and some people don't like that. Even though I would have to say it makes no difference. For you 18-20yr old girls that want to come and still drink, beware! They will not hesitate on politely asking you to leave. So better be sneaky about it or else but I don't recommend it. -Bartenders First of all, they have a world champion bartender(he's awesome at flipping those bottles) who usually tends the bar to the left center. I personally use the bar to the right center bc it is closest to the main dance floor, but all the bartenders are nice, quick and FAIR to all that come up. -Bouncers Bouncers are friendly until you start crap. These guys do not put up with any BS, so don't plan on getting away with fighting. They will take you down to the cops that wait out front. But this is a good thing, there is hardly any fighting going on here. They even have 2 police officers that work inside the club as well. So, overall safe atmosphere. Restrooms Restrooms are in center of bar facing the main entrance and are decent. They do have an attendant inside the men's restroom. Can't speak for the women's though. * This is a smoking bar/club, however, it is well ventilated in here. It is actually not bad at all, there are lots of people that do not smoke that still come and don't complain

I had my 30th birthday party at Live! at Bayou Place. It's 4 clubs in 1. The 90's beach-theme club (Shark Bar), techno-theme (Chapel Hill), hip-hop/R&B (Lucie's Liquors), and a pretty cool country-type club (PBR). PBR has a mechanical bull that you can ride--and we did. HOWEVER, WORD TO THE WISE, IF YOU BOOK A PARTY HERE, and you are quoted a price, be sure to GET IT IN WRITING. I'd never been to this club so I went the night before to check it out and speak to someone about pricing. While there, I reserved a section in Lucie's Liquors with CHELSEA. She quoted me an awesome deal which was what ultimately convinced me to have my party here. The next night I got there early to be sure our spot didn't get given away--just in case--and it is a good thing I did. My name wasn't on the "seating chart" and even though I was there before the person whose name was on the chart they were trying to seat me in another section all together. I spent the first 20 minutes of my party arguing with the hostess. After I threatened to leave they made other accomodations for the other person. THEN when it came time to pay, they charged me $60 more than I was quoted the night before. Courtney (who is a manager here) and another man claimed that Chelsea, the person I booked with the night before, had been fired and didn't want to honor the price she quoted me. Thankfully I had the sense to have her write it on the back of the business card she gave me and when I showed them I had it in writing, their tones changed and they honored the pricing.
I have lived at Chateaux since 2007. I love it here! Why? Because your not just another tenant or an apartment number. They know you by your first name. They care about their residents as if they were family. As a tenant/ office team we've helped other tenants having difficulty in one way or another whether it be a ride to the grocery store or Lakewood to checking on a neighbor, friend, fellow dog walker you haven't seen in a few days. The familiarity is what attracts me and keeps me here as a tenant. My prices go up like everyone else's and I vow to do whatever it takes to be able to continue in my beautiful cozy apartment. I have lived in four units and it's my experience no two units are exactly alike! Unique! I have never been robbed and my vehicle has never been broken into but it doesn't surprise me that it has happened. It's happens everywhere folks. There are some lazy pet owners that do not pick up after their dogs BUT there are dog bag stands all over the property. I have no problem picking up another dogs doo doo as well as my own dogs doo doo but hey that's me! Laundry rooms are everywhere. Maintenance comes in a timely manner. Often you'll find me in the clubhouse eating popcorn provided by Chateaux, surfing the internet on one of 6 computers. Gloria, Wayne, Eric, David and the blonde lady are wonderful. I love them and call them my friends
When Fridays get here I am ready to go and go is what I do, straight to my favorite club Maxwells! Yes mamm this is my spot. I never have to wait more than two minutes to get in to the club there are three different clubs in that one building a mixed crowd club, a old school feel club and finally a more hip/hop new flavor with a grown and sexy vibe club and when I do come through the door, I know its about to be some fun going on that night. My first stop is the club at the back the grown and sexy club, when I walk in the bartenders & waitresses are smiling, looking really nice and ready to please the customers, I always get my favorite drinks made for me and they are delicious! The atmosphere is very nice, velvet wall seats, lots of tall bar table and even regular seating in the back. The DJ does a wonderful job at keeping the crowd jumping and he doesn't play one kind of music he plays it all from the old to the new, zodico, reggae and line music. Basically what I'm saying is I love Maxwell and whenever my little sis comes to visit me from Waco, Texas she always wants to come to my spot. It makes me feel good that I have somewhere to bring here that I am proud of in my city when she comes-.PS. the bathroom attendant is really nice and she looks out for the ladies.
I do remember what they were like before the renovation and still I will stand behind recommending them to anyone else. I have had 3 friends move in the apartments who have either married or moved away for work and we still talk about the days we all lived there. I constantly have comments from visitors on how quiet and peaceful the apartments are. And I agree I live near the castle and I am not sure if I even have neighbors since I dont hear them. With that said, it has very friendly neighbors and it never fails that I am being waved hello or someone is saying good morning/afternoon as I pass them by when I am walking around. (I dont know them but its always nice to see a smiling face) I am not sure how many kids live in the complex but I have not seen many, but I can count them with one hand. DOGS! very cute ones too! they have dog friendly areas all around the complex. I know what the apartments looked like before and after and I can say they are a HUGE improvement, aesthetically speaking. Its unfortunate that some have not had my experience with these apartments, all I can say is that I have lived in other apartments and NONE have been perfect, but if you are looking for longevity and place to call home. (like I have) Chateux has it!
This place has grown on me. The first time i went I was on a date expecting the H-Town type club scene and left early. I was drug back by my girl friends on several other occasions since and now must admit - I have since grown to love this bar. Bucks is all about the vibe you bring with you. If you are in a group looking for a place to cut loose the staff at Bucks will do everything to help your night be unforgettable. What other bar or club runs drink specials on the weekend? Are there any clubs out there that put your name and picture on all the TV's, stop the music and the owner himself calls you out and wishes you a happy birthday. In a crowd that on occasions reaches 900+ people you and your group are made to feel like they are all there for your party. I must say now that I visit regularly, there is hardly ever a night the owner, the GM, or a Mng doesn't buy me a drink. They truly appreciate their customers. PS - I gave it 4 stars because there is one CON. When the crowd reaches 700 or 800 it tends to get a little hot. I have spoken to the owner and he is waiting anxiously on the landlord to finish the AC improvements, so we have an agreement once the landlord fixes the AC I will gladly increase his rating to 5 stars.
I am a single father with a 5 year old daughter and we have recently moved into 3737 hillcroft apts. I am pretty picky when it comes the safety and and well being of my child's surroundings and place we will call home. After researching and viewing many apts in the area and other apt complexes around I chose 3737 hillcroft apts. the office staff is very friendly and welcoming. Gabby Cardenas was an angel in the whole process of me determining where I was going to decide to make a home for me and my daughter. She went above and beyond the expectations I had received from other leasing offices and apt complexes in helping me get what I WANTED instead of what I had to settle for. (Unlike many other complexes I had previously viewed. She delivered on every promise that was made and some. She is a part of the NEW management company, Presidiumre, that has taken over on the complex and are doing great things already with the property. Can't wait to see what the future holds for me and my daughter as residents of this property. Highly recommend you give her a call and see what I am raving about. Make sure you ask for Gabby and I am sure you will be happy with the results!!
My wife and I moved into this property back in 2012 for our first apartment together. It was operated under different management at that time and although they were all friendly, the Berkshire Communities (current staff) is very professional and definitely easy to trust them as your landlord. In three years we never had a service request go longer than 48 hrs to repair (emergencies were handled immediately as well). The neighbors are all nice and ideal for any individuals whether your single, married, have a family, etc. Their pet policy is aligned with other properties and they provide many dog waste baskets around the grassy areas on property. The only negative comments we could make is the main gate malfunctions occasionally so be cautious of it's actions, as well as their could be more lighting throughout the visitors / 4th floor of the garage and exterior parking spaces inside the community. The property was very safe and the area is perfect if you're looking to live inside the 610 loop / Galleria / Bellaire area. Overall, my wife and I would recommend this property to anyone and we really enjoyed our stay at the Estates at Bellaire from July 2012 - Nov 2015.
In all the years I have lived here, I have never had my car or apartment broken into. I realize I am responsible for my own safety. I do feel safe living here. But I also realize that I live in the 4th largest city in the U.S. and crime is everywhere. You just do what you can to not become a victim. I urge everyone that reads this to go to the Houston Police Departments website and pull up crime stats.for different zip codes and include 77056. You will discover that every part of Houston has crime. I have friends that live in the Woodlands, The Heights, Sugarland, Katy, Meyerland, and here, and they tell me the same thing, CRIME IS EVERYWHERE! Again, you do what you can to protect yourself because no one can promise you that they are there to protect you. When people here have had their cars broken into in the past, it has been reported that they had left expensive items in their vehicles. I really think it is unfair for people to make my home sound like the ghetto when it is not. Chateaux Dijon is a wonderful place to live. Its sad that some people have personal issues that make the whole world look sour in their eyes. Thanks for your time!
