Great place, well maintained. Near a peaceful river grazing pastures yet close enough to a lot of activities. We made this a one night stop but will stay longer on our next visit. Sites level and mostly pull throughs. On a stroll to the river we found history in the 600 year old tree that was a historic camping site for General Santa Ana during his march to the battle at the Alamo Awesome find.

My friend and I wanted to camp for our trip to San Antonio, so we found the Alamo River RV Resort! We wanted a little bit more rustic area that was away from the city, so this was perfect! We camped right by the river. It was a great area with plenty of space. We went during the week and there were a bunch of RVs in other areas, but there weren't any campers in our spot so we had the whole area to ourselves (other times may be busier). The showers were a little ways away if walking, but we drove their easily. The showers were really nice! The staff were really friendly and helpful! The drive into the city was not bad at all. I would recommend this location for a camping trip. I would definitely go back!

Wow! We spent three days and two nights and had a wonderful time. I enjoy a little more primitive camping but we had the best of both worlds. Our campsite was clean, quiet and secluded. When we needed a few amenities the showers were clean and was I was surprised that they part of what we paid for. No additional fees. The office was well stocked with food, supplies and fishing gear. We did use it but I heard from other campers that they also enjoyed the laundry room. My boys LOVED riding their bikes through the woods on the trails and exploring the woods as well. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure we were happy. They even came out to make sure things were going well. I can speak highly enough Alamo a River Ranch and Campground. We can’t wait to go back.

Very nice RV park near the scenic Medina River. Everything was clean, well-maintained, with large and level sites. It was good to be close San Antonio but still rural. We were just passing through on our way back to Florida from touring the Southwest. Found the campground by googling but what a stroke of luck! On an evening stroll to the river we were fortunate to run into owner and retired aviation professional Charlie B. Being aviation people ourselves we could have listened all night to his stories of his life and adventures. We certainly would return to Alamo River RV Resort and hope that our travels allow us to cross paths with Charlie B again. Thanks for a great stay!

Our 7 mo.stay was a memorable one. We enjoyed our morning walks through the woods watching the deer and the year old fawns darting through the trees. We were awakened in the morning by the singiing of birds coming from the Live Oak and Pecon trees. The pasture across from our RV site were acouple of horses and small herd of cattle grazing. Being summer weather we had cool comfort sitting beneath a huge Live Oak tree.

Ya'll ready for some good old Texas hospitality?! Love this veteran owned and operated RV Resort and campground!!! Active duty, veteran and law enforcement friendly.

It's a very easy mile off of I-35, about 5 miles south of Lackland and the River Walk and all the attractions. Very light traffic with a rural feel. Extremely peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed for a week to enjoy our sons graduation from Lackland AFB. Our group rented three RV sites and a cabin. We enjoyed a large family (30ish) Fathers Day and Lackland AFB BMT graduation party in the grass under the large shade trees.

This park is very well run. Super friendly and responsive staff. Very well maintained. Large spacious full hook up sites. The bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are immaculate and AIR CONDITIONED!!

Family and pet friendly! We had four kids and four dogs in our group. They love this place! Lots to do and see. Kids loves seeing the animals! And plenty of room for frisbee, baseball toss and fetch with the pups. LOVED THIS RV Resort and will definitely visit again soon.

Overall

Extremely quiet place. Very clean! All staff was courteous and helpful. Fresh numerous pots of coffe available from the office, as well as other items from their store. Fishing on grounds is available. All attractions are about 20-30 min away so it's not a bad commute. I loved that they have a laundry site (less chores to do when I get back home) as well as full bathrooms. Dog park and kids playground (tether ball) was a hit with my bunch

I loved this place. It is well kept and the staff is extremely nice. The store has just about anything you need. There are different size lots that are beautiful and are reasonably priced. I can't wait to come back. My favorite part is the dog park. That was a huge help with my dogs.

Overall

This was a great place to camp! We had plenty of space in our 40 foot 5th wheel. The top of the park is the RV section, but we really enjoyed walking down to the river, wading, and walking around the trails. We thoroughly enjoyed petting the horses, feeding the cows, and the owner even brought over a chicken for our kids to pet. Speaking of the owner, it is obvious he takes pride in this place and runs it very well. He was very helpful and kind to our family. San Antonio was also fun for our family, with the nice weather, the riverwalk, and scootering the mission trail and the Medina River Natural Area paved trails. We recommend this place to other families!

A great place. Went there for my sons Air force graduation this is the place to be.
Less then 9 miles away from the base we where there within 15 min, the people are amazing very nice helpful the toilets are very clean. A lot of deer free roaming, there was a car show we had not time enough to see it all The nature is beautiful the pictures do not really do justice to the whole park. The second part of the park by the river is beautiful. We thank you so much for great time we had there.
We recommend this park wholeheartedly to anyone with a rv celebrating their family member graduation and have to go back and forward to Lackland AFB
This campground made my life a lot more easier and fun

We visited the camp, this past weekend with my son's Cub Scout troop and had an amazing time. Never knew about Alamo River Ranch, 'til this weekend I'm so happy to discover this little gem of a place! My son and I are already planning for our next trip back! Love the location, you'd never know how close to S.A. because it was so peaceful and above all else clean. Loved the experience! Truly excited to come back!

Overall

This is a wonderful RV Park with horse facilities close to San Antonio. Nice roomy pasture or paddock layout. Friendly staff, clean shower room and brand new laundry machines. The riding is limited to around two hours mostly woods with some open space. Easy and very safe riding. Camping and RV spaces well spaced. Stayed for month and looking forward to coming back

Overall

The sites are large and easy to pull through. We had arrived after office hours yet the staff was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful.
They are also involved in the Tents for Troops program and that saved us some money on our cross country journey.
The prices were decent for the size of the park, the sites, and the hook ups. The facilities were clean and well kept.
The only downside was getting to the park. On one road there was a low-hanging branch that could cause problems for taller rigs. The other road had a rather sharp turn for a rig.
Though we really only slept there, we were happy with the place overall. I would recommend this RV resort.
