Yikes! I think I just dodged a big one: called today regarding Groupon and to ask whether the laser they use is appropriate for skin that develops lesions after plucking. Person who picks up the phone had difficulty explaining and sounded like she’d just gotten out of bed, then after being made to wait and hearing stressed out women’s voices in the background bickering regarding scheduling, spoke to their aesthetician. Cutting, exasperated by a very basic question (some lasers can worsen hyperpigmentation so this is crucial to know before commiting to buying a package), and actually ended up hanging up on me. Avoid, especially since this isn’t the only review describing how these people treat customers.

Ask for Chelsea! Awesome, high end salon with talented stylists. I am super picky about who does my hair which is really thick and hard to deal with. So I was nervous to move here and find someone new to do my hair. I had Chelsea do a cut and highlights and she did amazing! She always has great ideas for a new cut and color when I don't know exactly what I want and also did an awesome job when I knew exactly what I wanted and told her. I have been having her do my hair for a few years now and I recommend her and Amici Style to all of my friends.
I will never go back! Every appointment I've ever had resulted in waiting at LEAST an hour, even when I chose the first appointment of the day. At my last appointment, I waited 1 hr and 45 min, only to hear through the wall, Dr. Gross on a personal call inquiring on how he could get kosher bagels delivered for a Bar Mitzvah in JANUARY. My appt. was on 11/9/15, NOT that it should matter. He had a patient waiting almost 2 hrs and had the audacity to make a personal call, and loud enough for me to hear it in the next room! I walked out but not without letting the receptionist know exactly why. I told her how long I had been waiting AND what the doctor was currently doing that resulted in my walking out. I said my time is very important and I had work to do. The next day I called, and had to leave a message for "Pat" the office manager, said I was a patient and that it was very important. She NEVER called me back. While I was waiting in the patient room, I posted on Facebook what was going on but NEVER said where I was or Dr. Gross' name. Ironically, a colleague posted "You must go to my old doctor. Was it Dr. Gross?" I also now see that his average ratings are 2-3 and I am NOT surprised. I am only upset that I did not check those first. My mother had referred me to him and I referred 2 personal friends of mine. Needless to say, they have all had the "waiting" issues and none of us will be going back to Dr. Michael Gross.
I decided to try this salon as it was close to my house and the treatments looked good. I wanted a microdermabrasion which I have had before at other salons. I found a groupon and made an appointment. I really love dogs but seriously you walk into the salon and all you could smell is dog I should have walked back out at the time I just didn't think it smelled or felt like a salon. The woman at the reception desk had no customer service skills whatsoever she was not friendly and I did not really feel welcome, my thoughts on this place really started deteriorating and I kept saying run as fast as you can but it was an anniversary present from my husband. I was taken into the back room and requested an eyebrow wax which seemed ok the microdermabrasion lasted less that 30 minutes and was not like the other ones I have had, She just used water on my face and slapped on some cream at the end. I wasted 75.00 the woman was ok but talked too much. I left and went up to the desk and they said I didn't owe anything and I just wanted to get out of there because it was just a HORRIBLE PLACE. I realized I had not paid for my eyebrow wax but at that moment I didn't care because it was not worth the 75.00 they charged me for the Micro. The called and left a message saying I owed them $15.00 for the eyebrow wax. My husband said what did they do to your eyebrows she had missed a whole patch of hair that I had to shave. I may send them a check but from the experience I had I don't think I will. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY!
STAY AWAY!!!! I've been waiting for a resolution to my visit from 30 days ago. Ms. Fellner prescribed a topical medication for me that was made to treat conditions I don't have! When brought to the offices attention, she never even bothered to put this script in my chart. I am out $60 because of course the pharmacy cannot take back medications and the doctors office will not give me a credit on mine or my husbands accounts FOR THEIR ERROR! I have made multiple phone calls to the practice (Healthy Way office) with no results. I guess they think if it's ignored, it'll go away. CAUTION when seeing these P.A's, they aim to get you in and out in 5 minutes with minimal services done for you. Checking to see if Virginia Dept of Health Professionals have received any other complaints".

Do not go here. The service was bad starting with a phone call to the place. I received laser treatment and every time I went a different machine was used, sometimes stuff was put on prior, sometimes after, sometimes never. I was once called to come in earlier than my scheduled time (which was convenient for me) and when I got there I sat for 15 minutes listening to the 2 ladies conversation about their weekend. Neither woman bothered to say 'be right with you'. The laser results were horrible. Not even an ounce of change from before and after. My friend has gone here also and was just as dissatisfied. I would never return nor recommend this place to anyone.
I have been searching for a good location for hot body waxing for years. A lot of people lack the required technique - especially for the bikini/Brazilian waxing. It is also very hard to find someone, who knows how to shape eyebrows or at the least not ruin them. I must say I am very pleased with Derya's skill set, professionalism and speed. When someone is hurting you, it is very important for them to be quick and she is certainly fast. She keeps a clean shop and uses high quality wax and it is not too sugary. I have a very sensitive skin and I haven't had any issues so far. Overall my search of 15 years is over. I have had some very bad experiences in the past. I am glad I found her. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants wax done the right way.

I think the staff members at Nu Me are incredible. I was greeted by very friendly and professional women when I called to set up my appointments and when I met them in person. I have gone in twice for my b-12/lipo injections and have already set up my 3rd.
