i went to this location and rented a cargo van. drove 14 miles, and filled it up with 3.25 gallons of gas. now doing the math on that, that is less than 5 mpg. now this cargo van is rated at 16 mpg.
i went the the older man behind the counter and told him the gas and rpm gauges are faulty; gas because the gauge didnt move at all(past full the whole time), the rpm gauge because i was driving it at 45 mph, put the transmission in neutral, and the gauge read 2000 rpm. no car/truck/van ever made in the last 20 years does that.
he says he doesnt believe it, and said everything works just fine on it.
obviously he was lying about this. if he would easily lie to me, there is no way he will be any different to anyone else.
also. they do not give any military discounts, BUT they will have no problem holding a military ID for a reservation. i know this because it is clearly written on the counter.
and they will keep the motor running with the a/c blowing full blast to make you use more gas(you have to return it full or they charge you even more.)
if you go here, just be prepared to get ripped off.

Brought my Jeep in to get a hitch installed and they fried something in my wiring. Now I have no turn signals plus the let me drive off without notifying me. I didn't realize they were out until I almost got into a wreck and the guy told me when I called to notify them. Been fighting with them for days to get it fixed and no luck. The General Manager basically called me a liar saying they were broke when I came in, but I know for a fact they were not. His installer knows as well.
I'm in the process of talking with the regional manager, U-Haul Corporate and Business Bureau to rectify this situation. If I have a good resolution I'll update my post, but until then would cautiously do business with.
Lastly the hitch was never installed because they couldn't get a bolt off the frame.
