The owner/landlord, Cody, is really awesome! He's very nice, anytime something needs done, he gets it done right away, very efficient. Also, he is very patient & understanding. If something happens, he will always work with you as long as you are honest & let him know what's going on right away. The apartments themselves are VERY clean, nice, new appliances, & plenty of space, including closet, pantry & storage.
I am basing this rating 100 % off the property manager angela and the amazing maintenance staff. Will admit it may take a bit to have a work order done, Angela really goes out of her way for residents.
I wish it was better, and they would do more to help the tenants here at Mayfair. I cannot even get them to fix the over head light outside, so I just turn on the porch light. There is no ice makers, no door bells, just the style of the 70's and 80's. Very retro living. I hope things improve, or I will have to find another place that has what I am looking for in the future.
The ONLY reason this gets 1 star is because of the maintenance staff and the amenities. Unfortunately the parking and the leasing staff make it undesirable. Parking is terrible AS A RESIDENT, I have had to park at the front office outside of the gates and walk with my child to our apt 3 buildings away. There's about 10 visitor parking spots in the complex and charge you for a parking pass for your family visiting for 2 days. The leasing staff unprofessional. I found around $200 in fraudulent charges to my account. Pet fees when I don't have a pet, multiple application fees, admin fees, utility billing start up fees, all that were caught by myself. If you already live here...please take the time to LOOK at what you are being charged, I have ABSOLUTELY no doubt in my mind that I am not the only one they are charging false fees.
MILITARY DO NOT USE!!!!! They brought my husband to court for money he did not owe. Never informed him. Never used his permanent address only his old command. A judgment was done in their favor and took money out of our accounts without us knowing. He was deployed. It was a year after he moved out. They only want military so the can take your money.... Please please please do not rent here. I do not want my fellow military being taken advantage of.
Avoid..... There's better out there. The location however isn't too bad, right off the freeway. In terms of safety, very questionable.. Cars have been broken into. Random wanderers do walk in and leave a stench. All in all, not worth the money at all. I won't be renewing my lease here.
Indigo 19 use to be AMAZING. But recently they have had a change in staff and it has become worse and worse by the day. They seem to have hired a bunch of pretty peppy generic women to run the office who all have the same high pitched fake voice. They don't seem to know how to run the building and have been making mistakes left and right. They are not very good to work with and always seem to have an attitude when talking to you :( I have been so disappointed in this! We will not be renewing our lease here because of this....we were planning on spending years here but now we can't seem to stand another month. The maintenance crew is GREAT though! We love speaking to them and they are always so prompt and courteous. If they ran the building I think it would be a much more enjoyable environment. They also use to do a lot of resident activities and give always but the new staff seem to make it a point to distance themselves from the residents, hiding behind their fake smiles and even more fake support. PLEASE RECONSIDER RENTING HERE. Take it from a resident who has watched this place go from the BEST to the WORST in the area.
Somebody please give me corporate number for Mayfair apartment. They are the worse . the have attitudes and rude . they don't want to help anyone. They loose your money orders and take forever to fix things . they leave out a lot like why my gas so high not knowing that there was a gas leak ...do not move there if you don't want any stress .... Who has corporate number
Spring Water Apartments was THE WORST renting experience we have ever had. During our time as residents we had multiple issues with the office staff. The office staff consists of a bunch of unprofessional idiots. They were rude and incompetent. We should have know there were problems in store because Jenny, one of the office staff, messed up our move in date. We were told we could move in at 5pm the day before our lease technically started. When we arrived with packed cars and friends to help move the office was closed! We also placed multiple noise complaints regarding an incessantly barking dog and nothing was ever done about it. My husband went up to the office to make a formal complaint and was told something would be done.. nothing ever was. I work nights as a nurse and they were anything but accommodating to my needs. The office manager, Gabrielle, actually told me that my hearing was "too sensitive." In so many words she pretty much told me to suck it up. The other option would be us moving to another apartment in the complex. I didn't understand how these "solutions" made any sense since we were the ones being inconvenienced by the annoying dog! I contacted upper management and never heard back. Obviously they care about their residents.. The initial neighbors we had across the way were the worst neighbors I ever had. It took having a couple of ragers and the police being called for them to finally get evicted. At one of their parties, one of their guests puked all over the stairwell, hallway and over the balcony onto the second and first floors. Their guests also left black and mild stubs and smashed glass beer bottles in the parking lot. Classy. One time we let the office know about a green bean casserole that was dropped on the stairs around Thanksgiving... someone came and cleaned it up 2 weeks later....It was gross and embarrassing-never mind dangerous! The problems continued to haunt us when we moved out... we requested multiple times to have a walk through of our apartment and the office refused. Our carpets were in great condition. I steamed cleaned them periodically, spot treated stains regularly and vacuumed once a week. We do have a cat but she's an indoor only pet. We paid to have our carpets professionally cleaned at move out time and yet "the cleaning was not up to their standards" and proceeded to deduct 130.00 from our security deposit! That's BS and shady.Spring Water should have wanted residents like me and my husband instead they treated us like crap and made everything an inconvenience. I can't recall one time where I had a positive interaction with the office staff there. Every encounter was frustrating. The apartments are overpriced and a hassle. Save your money, your time and the headache and don't live here!
This is the worst apartment complex in all of Virginia Beach. Management does absolutely nothing. Useless. The pet fee is $450! Seriously? And have to pay an additional $25 a month. We were not aware of the jet noise until after we moved in. Unaware of the section 8 housing. And homeless shelter in front. There has been an issue with drug dealing. Breaking and entering of apartments. Even using ladders to break into top floor apartments. As I read further apparently you have to pay to have the power put back in their name after moving out. We have not moved out yet. The speed bumps throughout will probably cause damage to your vehicle. Severely outdated appliances, but no fear you get a washer and dryer. The dryer you have to run 4 times before anything gets dry and they won't fix it. So it's there to add heat in the summer and cause your power bill to rise. Something needs to happen to this place! It's a nightmare
