We had a tech show up and diagnose the issue with our refrigerator. She ordered several boxes of parts , “which we still have and do not need .” She said she would return when the parts arrived , which she ordered .
A different tech showed up to do the repairs the next time he said he needed none of the parts, he said she misdiagnosed the job .
He fixed the refrigerator and we are great full but we still are trying to get sears to refund our money for several hundred dollars worth of parts we don’t need !!!!!
My service tech was so skilled and did the repairs so very fast. It's great to have s man like I had to make repairs to my unit. Extremely knowledgeable . I give him a 10. Raul was very through with no mess to clean up when he was finished making the repair ����
DONT get a service protect. plan when buying any appliances from them.Totally not worth it.I got my fridge 12.31.2011 &purchased a 5 year protect. plan to cover it. When it came to annual service such as cleaning the coils (which takes literally all of 2 minutes, they just stick a vacuum nozzle in the back&within 30 secs they are done) they were fine, when it came to actually repairing, that's a different story. Last tech that came only tried to get me to repurchase a protect. plan & wouldn't address the fact that my cold meats tray/bin was cracked due to the tracks breaking and proceeding to fall. Side bin/shelf which holds milk also was broken and I wanted it replaced. Gasket also needed to be replaced.(gasket was replaced & was left worse than before as now it has no suction to keep the front door closed; before it did) He told me that the protect. plan I signed covered only the first 3 years after that I had to pay out of pocket for cosmetic parts. (Its not cosmetic as the parts can't be used!) I pulled out all my paperwork & said that I never signed a contract &the paperwork states 5 years which I pulled out to show him. He proceeded to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about, to listen to him &purchase another plan. I said if indeed wasn't covered well then it should be under the technicality that it cracked/broke due to the tracks giving out which caused it to fall, which is supposedly covered and which he did order but said I would get them &for me to take the thing apart and just put them in myself. I then called customer serv which transferred me over to benefits/protect. plan/agreements dept &got the runaround for 2-3 days each time being placed on hold for more than 30 min then getting hung up on when asking to speak to a higher up.One rep did agree that the cold meats bin should have been replaced since it broke due to the fact that a covered part caused its damage.Another tech was sent out but he refused to cover the parts. HORRIBLE all around
We had our original appt. on Feb 1 to get our dishwasher repaired because it would not cut off. That Tech. troubleshot the problem to be a bad control. The part was ordered and came arrive in 2 days. We had the replacement tech. scheduled for Feb. 8 between 2-3. He did not arrive I called the 800 number and was told that it was re scheduled for 5:15 to 7:45 and nothing happened. No one called. I again called the 800 number and was told that we were rescheduled for Feb. 16. That was not satisfactory to me and I complained a great deal and the scheduler scheduled me for the Feb. 9. from 8-5. I called the 800 number to see if we could find a closer time schedule and was told that the tech. would call before arrival. This did not happen 2 other times so why would it happen I told the dispatcher. After a lot of fussing I found out that he was coming between 9-11 and he did. When he arrived he again troubleshoot the problem and indicated it was another component.
Our Samsung refrigerator quit working on November 3,2015. It is now January 26, 2016 and we are still without a refrigerator. Sears repair people have been out to our house SEVEN times!!! DO NOT BUY A SEARS WARRANTY!!!!!!! Their system of ordering parts and then sending a technician out is ridiculous. It takes 3-5 days to get the part and then you have to call to set up an appointment for the technician to come out. That ALWAYS takes at least 5 days. Our experience was it often took 2-3 weeks before they had an appointment time to send the technician back. The people were nice but had no flexibility to help and it is impossible to speak to someone in upper management.
