Firstly, do not believe the high 5 star reviews, as they are not legitimate. Dan Shirley’s high rating reviews are all phony. Please look up “Crave Catering” and “Gourmet to Go Catering” and BELIEVE those reviews. Whenever this guy gets many warranted negative reviews, he abandons his business name, and just makes a new one. Just look up the address of where he conducts his business, it’s a residence. He makes all of his catered food in a residence (which explains why the food always arrives very cold) and not a commercial setting – which is against the LAW. He is going to get someone SICK.Do not make the mistake of hiring this company for your event, as it is not a legitimate business, therefore if someone gets SICK from the food (which he makes at his house) you will have nothing to go after. Dan Shirley pays no taxes, he pays no insurance, he doesn’t even have a business license, the only thing he has in his business name is a Sam’s Club membership. If you do the research you will find ALL of the above to be very accurate and TRUE.

We had Alex cater for our 40th anniversary at Lavender Ridge. He was out standing!!!!! Everyone raved about the food and buffet. We had thunderstorms that evening and the staff was very flexible about moving everything inside.Thank you Alex!!!!!!!
service is bad waiter seemed irritated that he had to deal with customers. no hostess to greet you and make you feel comfortable. Also it was dirty sticky tables.. but the food is good..not sure im going back it was disappointing. this was my 3rd visit but might keep it that way.
My daughter selected this vendor for her wedding after having a meeting with him. He came to the meeting full of services he would provide. As the wedding date approached, we had to explain to him why water glasses were needed on the tables, he doubled booked our date and had taken water glasses to the other wedding so didn't want to provide them for us. He offered us cheap plastic cups for our tables. It wasn't until the venue representive contacted him the day before the wedding and explained how inappropriate plastic cups would be, that he managed to show up with some. Guests and venue workers the day of the wedding complained that his workers were arrogant and rude, the same adjectives I would use to describe Alexander. I don't believe that he will be welcomed at this venue any longer according to venue workers the next day. At the end of the night, leftover sealed boxes of cupcakes disappeared from the refrigerator when they left. Guests saw one of their workers with a cake box on their cart as they were leaving! Please think twice before hiring this catering company! Food was decent, but their attitudes stunk! We regret hiring them! by
