I just wasted at least 40 minutes at Nail Vogue in Vestavia! They only had 2 people working there and there were at least 3 women getting pedicures. They were talking and laughing like they had all day, like the social hour. The man finally asked me if I wanted a pedicure and I told him, "No, I want a manicure." So he told me to sit in chair at the manicure station. He took a woman who came in AFTER me and put her in the pedicure spot and started doing her nails. I got up and left without a manicure at all! I will NEVER return to this rude, pokey place! I don't have all day to wait and then they take someone ahead of me! My daughter went there once and told me today that her manicure didn't hold up, that one of them put too much base and top coat on her nails and they cracked.
Paid $100 for the worst nails in my life: none of my nails are even and my "stiletto nails look like sharp almonds.
DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE! I have been getting acrylic nails for 12 years, at many salons, and I have NEVER had an experience as terrible as the last time I went here (or been in so much pain). The woman who did my nails is the owner. She spent at least 10 minutes berating me about the shape of my nails and telling me that everything I have learned about the natural state of my nails was wrong. She then proceeded to try to convince me to use gel polish OVER my acrylics. During the course of my manicure, every time she used the drimmel, she hit my cuticles, did not miss a finger. I began noticeably wincing every time she passed over my nails, yet it took me finally saying "I would like to not be bleeding at the end of this" for her to even notice there was a problem. Even after she knew what was happening, she still managed to hit my cuticles a couple more times. It took well over a week for the scabs on my cuticles (every finger) to heal. To top it off, it was the worst fill I had ever gotten- edges were not neat and there was excess acrylic, glue and polish all over.
I went in for a pink and white fill in. The lady rushed through it and left my nails looking a mess. I asked for her to move the white powder up my nail, but she did it carelessly so there is a white line showing the original white powder. She also did not smooth down the nails to make them even, and made one of my cuticles bleed. I left the salon completely dissatisfied. Worst nail experience I have ever had.
No wait. Very friendly. Very professional. No problems with communicating our needs. Great prices. We will be back!
Unprofessional, unfriendly, cannot believe this place stays open. I would not go back at all!!!
Shady, shady, shady. Walking in for a pedicure would feel like walking into a Chinese money laundering operation. Shady and untrustworthy crooks trying to rip you off!
I love this place! It's now part of my Saturday ritual! Mimosas and a great time with friends! The organic pedicure is like no other. We drive from Meadowbrook to see Katie :)
