When my father passed unexpectedly in September 2012, a lot of roadblocks led me to the cremation center of Birmingham to handle my father's cremation. he had no insurance, no social security, nothing to leave behind to help with costs. i barely make minimum wage and was unable to come up with $950 immediately. The cremation center agreed to let me mail in payments as i was able to which took two mortifying months. finally I sent them the last payment on dec 28 2012. As of feb 28, 2013, i had not received the ashes or heard anything back. seeing as that date would have been my father's 57th birthday, I had a friend call for me and check the status. they had "forgotten". something "automated didn't kick out when the balance was paid in full so dont be mad at us" so my father sat in the morgue for an EXTRA two months after i had paid these people in full. All they did was keep saying im sorry im sorry but to me this is not acceptable. IT IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH
