As normal when I walk on to get something I notice the long line with one register open. So I get my few things and hope the manager has opened several registers while I am shopping. Wrong... I get in line with 7 people in front of me. We finally get down to me being the next one with 10 people plus behind me they open a second register. The cashier says " I can help someone over here" instead of saying I will help the next person. . At this time my cashier gets up off her chair and goes to get a cart to place the cart load of items in that she is ringing out. A third cashier then opens up and says the same" can i help someone here". Again it fills up with people behind me. This will happen again so now there are four cashiers working and I am still behind the first one along with several others that never had a chance to move. I spent a total of 4 minutes shopping and 25 minutes in line. I was pissed by the time I was leaving. I passed the manager as I was leaving and expressed my opinion to him .his only comment to me was " I will consider this in the future when scheduling. While in line at the start I heard several people walk by and make comments about one cashier and watch athe least one walk out leaving their product behind. Come on lowes it is the 23rd of December at 630. If you are going to make sales to cover for the year it will be now. 2 days prior to Christmas.
The sales staff tend to be friendly and helpful, but the management is not customer-service oriented, and the quality of the merchandise is poor. I bought a storm door and had it installed and also a lawn mower and have been disappointed in both. The storm door started falling apart within a year, the installers had to come twice to fix poor workmanship. The mower is a piece of junk and has been out of commission more than it had been working. I'm so frustrated with this place, I won't shop here anymore.
