Had 82nd birthday dinner for mom last night,Frank was our server, great food, service and atmosphere,Great night
Owner operated, Giordano’s Deli is in a very small strip center on the edge of U.S. 1 and 21st Street, near downtown Vero Beach. Drive too fast toward the curve and you will miss this place entirely. I’ve eaten here over a dozen times in the last year and have always enjoyed 5-star service. While I've tried several different subs and hoagies, my favorite is the “Italian Special.” A sub roll stuffed with Provolone cheese, ham, capicola, pepperoni, Genoa salami, with lettuce and tomato, onion, hot peppers, seasoning, oil, and vinegar. While I’ve had this sub both toasted and cold. my preference leans toward the cold.Seeking a vegetarian substitute? The special today was a marinated portabella mushroom with fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil, and feta cheese. Served toasted, it’s a great addition to the menu for those seeking a vegetarian option. I’m not a vegetarian, so I will stick with the “mainline” Italian sandwiches and meals. Interesting taste and nothing wrong with the sub - I’m just more of a meat and potatoes man.Eat in or take it to go. Gardens salads, lunch platters and even dessert. Catering offered as well. Cash or check for your payment – no credit cards accepted. A few tables inside – a few more outside. A comfortable place to relax for a quick meal.Giordano’s is a clean establishment with friendly and polite staff. Like I said earlier, it’s owner operated, so you have that “Mom and Pop” type atmosphere. They share a parking lot with a nail salon and Sushi place. Just be careful how you exit as varying traffic patterns exist ride outside the deli.William E. Lewis Jr.Vero Beach, Florida.
I've given this restaurant several chances. Not only did the server mess up my 80 year-old mother's Birthday cake, but totally forgot about our party. Next time we went the server was excellent but we had to sit next to the kitchen. Fair quasi-Italian food at a high price. No thanks
Authentic NY Italian. Owner is pleasant, food excellent, clean environment. May be a tad pricey for takeout but not much more than chain pizzerias. Apples and oranges comparison. Orchid Isle Pizzaria is amazing
Not as good as expected. There were three of us, one ordered egg plant parm, with a side of Brussel sprouts. Egg plant was good, Brussel sprouts were cold. We sent them back, and they still didn't have them warmed up. Second order was a pasta salad and a number 14 sandwich. Got the salad at the counter, but they forgot the sandwich. It came out after a second request (and a wait). It was OK, Third order was delivered as promised. We have eaten there many times before, but this will most likely be the last time. With all the other excellent lunch options, it's not worth it
Deeellliiicccooouussss! I wish I could order everything in one sitting. GREAT staff, great atmosphere
I could see in my wife's eyes that the first bite of her grouper francese was of what is this? I asked if she would like to get something else just before I tasted it, then I knew why she had that look on her face, I called the server over an complained, not long after that the owner Bob said,[ so you don't like my fish and you don't like my drinks ]with an angry tone I said the drink was watered down and the fish was not good, he yelled at me and my wife! he cut that fish himself That of course angered me and I said the fish tasted like S--t.He yelled again I will comp the whole dinner. I was given the bill and paid it. my wife said she will never return just because of the owner. I walked over to the table he was sitting at and placed the paid bill and said don't ever disrespect my wife . he jumped to his feet and up close to my face, Yelling! told me to get the f--k out of my restaurant repeatedly. I replied I will tell a thousand people Don't eat at amalfi grille !!!!
I love olive garden, however, my son ordered talapia /shrimp, came with steamed broccoli, quite pricy and got 1 very small piece of fish and 4 small shrimp. Very disappointed with presentation, and the cost is over priced. Should serve some kind of pasta with this meal. It was more like an appetizer than a meal. Very disappointed.
Avanzare is one of my favorite places to dine! Fresh, fresh, fresh ~ from the classics (their Francaise is the best I've ever had) to the creative (any special feature will do) and what a treat to enjoy their wonderfully fresh pasta. If you haven't already tried Avanzare, you are well overdue! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I find the acoustics are terrible, so it is a great place to eat, but not for conversation.
02/09/15 at 5:33 pm I ordered the Monday/Tuesday night 16" Cheese pizza special $8.49, 10-Hot wing special (coupon only) $4.99, and the Large Greek Salad $8.99-$9.99 (I was quoted two different prices in two separate follow-up calls as to why my total for this order was $29.50 and no receipt was given or offered, I assumed it was in the bag.) Taking the higher of two possible totals of $23.47 and adding sales tax at .08% the order should be $25.34. We were charged $29.50 of of a $50 bill given the $20.50 in change which the 50 cents went in the top jar since it was a Pickup order. I called to find out why I was charged $29.50 and was confronted by a belligerent "manager" who ended up calling me a "Liar". I know it is only $5 but add up $5 per customer and someone can make a hefty little side profit because anyone that would stoop to calling a customer with a valid complaint about being overcharged, a "Liar" is certainly acting as if they are a "thief". Now the lettuce was only slightly brown and the Pizza was cold and I was there exactly in the 20 min time frame I was told to pick up my order. My second time ordering here, also my absolute Last time.
