Definitely NOT the same Penny Hill that is on Old Dixie Hwy. Bread tastes stale. Employee did not seem to care that I was unhappy with my sandwich and did nothing to rectify the situation.
I have never had a problem with this place tell today. The food is good as always. There was a lady the was walking around making subs. She seemed to have a bad attitude. She kept tell the one work what he was doing wrong. But she was dong it in a really rude way that made me feel uncomfortable as a consumer. Then I watch her with gloves on play on her phone then start making a sub. With the same gloves on. I asked on my way out the door who the owner was and she said it was her. I am now going to start going to the penny hill on old Dixie.
They are not selling their hams in the Indian River Mall this year.(2015) I called the mall and they told me they were informed by letter that HoneyBake would not be returning to the mall this year so don't waste your time going there. Your only choices are Melbourne (35 miles north) or Stuart (35 miles south). 70 mile round trip drive to buy a ham is not acceptable to me.
I was with a group of 4 friends who requested we dine at the Dockside eatery. I ordered the fish and chips. After an unreasonable wait, our food came and much to my dissapointment the fish was very greasey and almost raw. The manager came to the table , and because I did not want to distract from my friends experience I told her about the fish but to leave it for now. I left most of it on the plate and spoke to our waiter at the end of our meal about adjusting the bill. I was absolutely FLABBERGASTED when she returned from talking to the manager and said I had eaten most of it and no adjustment would be made. Shut the front door!!!! You have got to be kidding me. With abomidiable service like this and pathetic food quality, its just a matter of time before the door does shut. It was a humiliating experience never to be repeated. I was sick all night and am currently rethinking my options for recourse. Shame on you.
The food here is very good. Its fresh, the quantities are large and the pizza is excellent. Just an all round good place to eat. Don't let the fact that it is in a gas station deter you from trying this restaurant.
Fresh bread and fresh meat such a cool place. Owners are super nice too
Best sub shop in Vero. Great food, friendly people, great prices.
