Very nice and caring Staff. Only Negative! regarding the Leptospirosis Vaccine and the so called epidemic. This dangerous and vaccination contains a stage four carcinogenic that causes cancer. This vaccine also has a profound effect regarding auto immune disease ! It covers less than 10% of Leptospirosis Bacteria... Do your research on this as it may save your puppy dog from Auto Immune Disease and Cancer. We have owned 28 Rottweilers over the past 34 years. Please ask for a second opinion from your breeder.... Although Jill did have adverse effects form both shots (vomiting/diarrhea on the first shot).

Best not to go here for life or death situation. Uncaring. We had to put our 15 year old shih Tzu down. He was a patient of theirs for years. Days before we put him down he had a clogged nose so we took him in to the vet. They tranquilized him and while he was under the vet insisted on pulling his loose teeth. I said no but she insisted. Provided many procedures that were not necessary. The night we put him down he woke us at 11:30 pm crying and in pain. I called and spoke with the vet on call. I asked if we could bring him in to have him put down and was told to take him to Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital. The vet would not tend to our little one. Very sad.

Do not bring an animal here in a life or death situation. At 6pm closing time the oxygen goes off wether your animal needs it or not. I was forced into a decision I did not want to make, or watch her gasp for breath. I had run around that day to get her portable oxygen to transport her to a 24 hour facility. I had already made arrangements with. I had a tiny infant air hose to hook to her nose. No one was willing to help me give it a try.. With still no diagnosis as to what the problem was. I had to say goodbye to the little little 4lb love of my life. The horror of watching the needle go into her tiny arm and seeing her ljerk and die will never leave me..

Was very grateful to dr horn and john for seeing my beloved four legged child after the animal hospital I had used refused to see us any longer because I had hurt one of the vets feelings. The issue involved had nothing to do with my pets but with a difference of opinion on an issue that several people are involved in.thank you to Dr Horn,John and theFVL for being there for my babies and me

Have been going here for many years and always have had great care for my animals. Dr. Horn I must mention one of your emploees, Ashley. She came in yesterday and drew blood from Thor after another tech was having difficulty. Went to the pharmacy this morning and she was their. Had a question about the Nemex. What I was given was another dosage. She explained the difference asked which I would prefer and swapped them out. Then said

oh they forgot to give you the two free doses of Revoution, here ya go. Great service and with a smile!! Thanks folks

Bad place

I would never use this vet!!! He doesn't have a heart and heaven for bid you have an emergency don't call him because he has more important things to do also be careful of his knowledge as a vet so far I've lost an animal because when it went in for surgery I guess they didn't think fluids were a good idea because went I got my fur baby back he was so dehydrated that his skin was sticking together when I pinched it abit and he died on the way home so I call up dr horn thinking I might get some advise and the SOB just tells me I'm sorry but these things happen and there's nothing I can do which I think he did enough when my fur baby was there oh and he accidently overdosed a friend of mines dog on medication and accidently killed him so I would think before you go to this man as to how much your animals life means to you because to this man they mean nothing and I wouldn't have given him any stars but this site made me

Never and i repeat NEVER call Dr Horn if you have an emergency!!! My furbaby was dying it was 2 am, and I called the emergency # on their website. Dr Horn answered the phone and told me that he could go to the office to help us but that he had to get up at 8am and didnt want to miss out on his sleep. I then said that I thought that saving animals lives was supposed to be a Vets motto. Why have an emergency # to call if they are not going to help. My pet of 11 years died last night, his life could have been saved. Please do your beloved pets a favor and find another Vet. This one obivously does not care about animals at all only the $$ in his pocket. I have never met such an uncaring person in my life!

Very disappointed

I've taken my cats here for several years now since their vaccine prices were very reasonable. However when my one cat got sick, not one of the 3 vets who saw her could diagnose her correctly. On top of that, both Drs. Horn and Kennedy had zero personality. They had very bad attitudes & couldn't have cared less that we were there. Since I'm a paying customer, I'd at least like a smile and to be talked to as a person. I will definitely not be going back.

Hello to all who LOVE their 4 ...

Hello to all who LOVE their 4 Legged companions;

I started going to Florida Veterinary League ten years ago. I've seen a couple of poor reviews, but ALL OF MY EXPERIENCES HAVE BEEN POSITIVE.

I specifically request Dr Kennedy, or Dr Horn. They both are very qualified Doctors of Veterinary Medicine, and they are serious about giving their patients the best care.

We should be fair and honest in our judgments of others: if we have a minor disagreement with someone in a business, that does not necessarily mean the place is no good. The problem could be ME, having a terrible day (I've been there) or maybe a 'front desk girl' was rude (have you ever been rude?)

Vero Beach is a VERY SMALL TOWN, and if this place provided poor care, they would have closed years ago.

Give them a try; I think you'll feel your 4 Legged Child was treated kindly, and with professionalism.

We took our older dog here and...

We took our older dog here and they treated him so well. We got right in on our very first appt. Let me really suggest this place if you live in Vero Beach, love your pet, but have limited funds such as us. You will not compromise on quality either. This place is very, very affordable compared to many other places in the area. We literally get better care here at a quarter of the price. Yes, we have been charged double even, quadrupole at other places for routine visits and emergency care. They are hardworking, one of the least expensive in area, they get you right in and best of all, they are caring and competent. They'll make your animal feel at ease and won't try to push unnecessary procedures or products on you. So for all this, I will highly recommend Florida Veterinary League for quality care at affordable prices.

Horrible Experience

I took my dog there on a Monday, he had been very wobbly and lethargic on sunday.. I had never been to this veterinary clinic, I was out of town, but very concerned for my pet. I was seen by Dr Kennedy, the first thing she said was "he is in really bad shape", then something is wrong with his back, then this is going to be expensive." I was appalled, first lets just see what is wrong.. so she took x-rays, then blood work, she said he had liver cancer, and probably his gall bladder had exploded.. I of course was in shock.. she said she needed an MRI and then probably Gall Bladder operation. and that would be an additional $700 on top of the $380 I just paid., my pet was 13, I had to make a decision about putting him down.. but i decided to see my vet back at home.. that afternoon to put him down. My vet looked at my pet and said he was dehydrated, gave him fluids, checked the blood work and x-rays and said everything was an indication of dehydration and nothing was what Dr Kennedy had said was wrong.. had she done surgery she would have killed him, and had I done what she wanted he would be put down.. he is very happy and back to normal after 4 days of gatorade and fluids he administerd, I have 4 dogs, this was the absolute worst experience of my life. DO NOT GO TO Dr KENNEDY

Affordable Veterinary care

I have been taking my dogs and cats here for 3 years. The dental for dogs are 1/2 the price of other vets. The entire staff that works here are dedicated to the care of your animal. These are tough financial times for a lot of folks, who don't want to neglect the care that their pets need, such as vaccinations, spaying, neutering and dentals. We are so bonded to our animal companions and want to give them proper care. This has been the case for me. I had 3 cats and 2 dogs. Two of my cats passed away last year but I still have 3 pets. If it were not for Florida Veterinary League I could not afford to care for them as they need to be cared for. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

awesome place

I use them and I think they are very good and they do not cost an arm and a leg like other places do when my dog got sick they kept her for 4 days and only charged me 250 other vets wanted 1500 for 1 night even though my dog passed away they did all they could to save her and the girls up front cried when she passed as they all grew to love her
