EZ Money Pawn & Jeweler

This pawn shop seems to have forgotten what the real purpose of pawn brokers is supposed to be. I went to this pawn shop twice, the day before Christmas eve with 2 different items in like new condition. The first item, a Meade 40x60x100MM spotting scope, that had never been out of the box retailed at $260.00 I tried to borrow $80.00 against it and they wouldn't even make me an offer. I thought okay, let me give them the benefit of the doubt. I went back about 2 hours later, with a hand-held FLIR Scout pocket TK color thermal camera in like new condition, complete with all the accessories, which retails at $600.00 I was only trying to borrow $100.00 against it. This is a very popular item, easily resellable for $400.00 or more and they wouldn't even look at it.

I understand that this is a business and they need to make money and they could have easily doubled their money with the spotting scope and quadrupled their money with the Thermal camera. Aside from selling merchandise to make a profit, Pawn Brokers are also supposed to provide a service to their community and grant loans to customers against used property in good condition and charge interest against the money borrowed. This helps the business make money and it also helps the customer. This Pawn shop seems to have forgotten this basic principle of their business.

I'm not bitter, I went to another pawn shop and borrowed $120.00 against the FLIR Thermal Camera, once they verified that it was in working order. However, I'm a Vero Beach resident and when a local business does not provide the intended service they are supposed to represent for their community - then what are they good for? The answer is, not very much.

The guys and gals at EZ are the anti-stereotype pawn brokers. They actually care. But remember they are a PAWN SHOP. They are in business to make money, not lose it. They will however give you a fair deal

E-Z Money Pawn and it's sister Magic Money Gun and Pawn in Vero break the negative mold of the pawn industry. The folks are upfront, honest, they avoid gouging and treat customers with respect. They have a high standard for their staff and know what they are talking about. They conduct negotiations in a fair and earnest way.



This business is substantially better to deal with than other pawn shops I have used and they have an established intergenerational presence that means they are in it business for the long haul. I have bought goods up to and including a $6700.00 Rolex President from these brokers and no complaints.
