The noodle soup with roast pork and wonton was delicious. The wontons were amazingly tasty and the roast pork was no less delicious. Even the bock choy was perfectly tender and melted in my mouth. No hard stringy bock choy here - not like a lot of other places.I've eaten. My wife had the "dry style" house special chow fun which was among the best I have had. Too many places tend to overuse the soy sauce resulting in a harsh salty result, but not here. Their flavor was balanced nicely that so that you weren't overwhelmed half way through your meal. The service was very good with the waiter patiently informing us of the differences in the variations of the dishes we were trying to decide between. Atmosphere is open, clean and airy. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Also, they make their char-siu, roast duck and roast pork on-site. They are available for purchase at the counter. We bought some of the char-siu to take home. Yes, it was awesome as well. Finally, we no longer feel we must trek to Portland for great chinese food. We'll be back for more noms at Good Taste.
My wife and I have been going there for years. We have noticed the quality degregaded over time. As of late we have been going primarily for the crab at the buffet. Much to our shagrin, the crab is obviously re-cycled and we don't care for 'green' crab!!! Haivng said that, the food which is normally fresh, tasty, and enjoyable has been anything but...stringy, cooked, and re-cooked crab is disheartening at best. They charge a fair price, and our expectations are also fair. The food there lately has been major let down. Additionaly.....would it kill anyone to provide a clean napkin????? You get one at start of your meal then nada. Try prying open the micro crab legs that are filled with more water than flavor without getting your hands dirty. My God people wtf....
Oh my GOD people! Don't you morons know there 's a freaking SEASON for crab??? Do you honestly think the crab legs will be full and to your 100% expectations all year long? Well they WON'T! During the off season, crab legs will be puny and very empty so GET OVER YOURSELVES! Also...if you need a clean napkin in such a big damn hurry, put some paper ones in your damn pocket before you leave the house. This is an excellent restaurant for the cuisine and the price. A little dingy maybe but excellent food but for the OUT OF SEASON crab legs. Get a grip and get out of line if you don't like it so I can move up in line!
We tried Mars when they were on 162st Street and hated it. Then they moved to Mill Plaine (replacing an old favorite) and we expected the worst. We were wrong. Whether they got a new chef or just improved their menu, we love it. We eat there or take out on the average of once a week. The hostess is sweet and very friendly. Try the Shrimp with lobster sauce and the world's best Won Ton soup. All the wonton's are made with shrimp-to die for. All in all for the money, my favorite Chinese to eat in or take out!
the servers at this Chinese restaurants are always friendly and attentive. It makes me feel good because they serve you like family. I haven't try their buffet yet because I like to order from the menu so I can take some to work the next day. My favorite items are: Broccoli Shrimp and General Tso Chicken. The best part for Taste of Asia is that they deliver. When I am working on projects, I will just click on my speed dial.
During our stay at Vancouver RV we were looking for a place to eat close by. The Canton Chinese Buffet is across the street, price was good the ffood is outstanding, they keep everything hot fresh and stocked unlike others. King crab, BBQ pork ends, oysters on the half she'll, fried shrimp, and everything in between this is one to check out when your in the Vancouver area, we will definitely be back.
we had search for several hours for a Chinese food restaurant in Vancouver Washington. Well we found it through your site and this is the best Chinese food I've had in a long time thank you . I just moved vancouver and I will be back. Great service and great food they have a buffet or a menu. We tried menu but I'm sure we'll go back and try the buffet in the very near future.
There are many chinese restaurants in Vancouver area. let's be honest, they are almost the same as far as taste and service goes. Taste of asia is a bit different. They added a personal touch to service and food. The servers are always happy and eager to help, and the portion is always more than enough. To me, that is all I ask for.
Great lunch place at an affordable price. I love to come in and have my egg flour soup and tea while I have a short wait for my lunch entree to be made. I have an hour lunch break and always get in and out of here within about 30 minutes with a full belly! Servers are very kind and check in with you every time you make eye contact!
Wonderful restaurant with excellent food. I am from the Tacoma area. When my boyfriend was sick I ordered a wonderful spread of food to be delivered to his home. Although the restaurant does not normally deliver, the owner made a special exception and even through in a helium balloon to cheer him up. Now that's service!!
