1 in 4 of all elderly deal with some form of COPD. The staff at the facility should know when their resident is not breathing normally and to know how to use home oxygen equipment. Expertise and common sense is required. Common sense should tell Galina:...do not obstruct the oxygen flow such as having a heavy object sitting on tubing....to increase the home oxygen flow as prescribed or call the doctor-on-call for advice....call 911 for medical help right away.Needless to say there was a lack of common sense when my mom had to fight to breath all evening/night before 911 was called the next afternoon. Her oxygen saturation level was 55: ..the point of passing out. The EMTs rushed her to the hospital and that was my mom's last day at Burberry AFH. After 6 weeks in the hospital, she passed away. If you hear anything different, it is a lie. I trusted these people. If your loved one requires care, this is not the place. Most residents were more independent. Look elsewhere.

My father was admitted after being in hospital. It would take on average for staff to answer his call light 1 1/2 hours. He developed pnemonia and his bed sore became worse because of the lack of care. I would not send a stray dog there
Would highly recommend Elder Options based on the care that my mother has received from them.
Non profit Company, good place to work only if you are willing to get paid by the 5th if lucky or the 18 of each month . payroll needs improve, they want you to be committed to the job in schedules but they are not committed to you on payments when most of the companies pay the 1st and the 15th of each month they always pay late. So if you rent an apartment you have to start getting ready for fees because you'll be late on your rent. or worried by eviction notices, not mention to other payment that people usually have. They really need to work on their payroll, I work some time for them and I have to leave because of that, not to mention holly days then you are really in need. It seems that they forget that people work because the need $$ and you are not "nonprofit" lol. While working there notice that staff members come and go because of that Mather and you are not allowed to talk about because you'll get in trouble. I really liked to work there is just that I need my money the 1st and the 15th, they were not giving PTO time off we were told that may get that in the future so important but I guess is just them since it was the first time I worked for a company that didn't give that. also people don't have Sick Leave (pay sick day) super important but they wont pay if you get sick you can leave and take the days required but wont get pay. I just think is so shady and wrong coming from a health care company.Remember Vancare people work for $$ we are not nonprofit workers .
Elder Options was an excellent help to our family when we were selecting senior housing for my mother. They were a wealth of knowledge and provided us with so much information and helped us select the best option that worked for her. Great help.
Could not have done it without them. They were extremely helpful in caring for my mom. They were a great help!
