Each of my experiences with DHL have been unnecessarily stressful. When I schedule a pickup, the driver never shows up with only 1 call.. When I call to ask what happened, they say he cannot find me. UPS & FedEx drivers have no problem finding me. USPS has no problem finding me, but the DHL 'driver' claims he cannot find me. A day or two and several phone calls and waste of time, the driver finally shows up.Despite my instructions to the agent, the driver does not call me if he is unable to find me. If I take the package to their counter (as I do with UPS & FedEX), they will not accept it unless I open it up and completely empty the box and repack it, something I have no desire to do because my items are so well packed and the box is packed in a specific way to prevent damage to items which are being shipped overseas. Although the package is insured, I want the items to arrive intact and undamaged. I do not want the insurance money and hassles. Why DHL has this policy I do not know. The 800 number people do not give me a direct number for their local office so I can talk to someone there and give specific instructions to the driver. I see here that other people have similar problems. Why should it be this way? Can these people not shape up?I only use DHL when my customer insists on it, otherwise I would shun this company and never do business with them. Seems their overseas people are more efficient and diligent. Pity that this is not so in the US.
I ordered something from FC Bayern US store. The product was scheduled to delivery on sep 1 but today is already September 4 and still i didn't get my package.
I will never buy from another vendor who uses DHL. I literally waited IN MY FRONT YARD for 3 1/2 hrs and watched the driver speed by me w out a glance! I called and they said no way to contact driver and he may not come back! He never did. Zero customer service. Total rip off.
Great service. I needed a specific bottle of Champagne and within minutes I was texted as the business respected my privacy. To let me know my item was located and if they should continue with delivery of such.. I was shocked at the old school feel of proper customer service.
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!My package was held for almost 2 weeks at 15041 Keswick, Van Nuys, CA location and I did not know that was there. No one notified me, no note on the door or my mail box. I called, I talked to David and arranged delivery day and time(Monday 1-4). I waited for the delivery for 4 hours at home and the package did not come, so I called. I was told delivery is scheduled on Tuesday, but the driver does not have a phone so they cannot contact the recipient. UPS /USPS does not have this issue and all my packages come on time except DHL. Last time I had to go and pick up my package myself. While there, there was another frustrated couple about their delivery who came to pick up their package. My experience with DHL is just awful. They are misleading the public. Shipments prioritized and paid for EXPRESS, are delivered in the USA as regular shipments and arrive late. Lost some customers who asked for expedited delivery. The receptionist refused to address and escalate the issue, instead she defended her working place, repeating one sentence again and again... Bad company, bad employee training, bad customer service. We instructed our supplier to use alternative service!.DHL - I give you the finger!
Paid for Express service. Item came from overseas, and tracking said will be delivered Fri. by end of day. What does that mean? I waited all day and night, package never came and tracking was not changed till Sat. which read delayed, try later. I call DHL and they said Mon. was a Holiday and won't deliver my package till Tue. So I need to wait another 3 days. This is not the first time this has happened, but hope it will be the last. I have never had this problem with FEDEX. I will not buy overseas ever again if they use DHL. Thank you. David K.
HORRIBLE!!! I payed for faster shipping specifically for my package to be delivered on time. It was delivered to DHL Van Nuys, and they came to my house to deliver it to me. Because I was not home, I was unable to sign for it. However, they continued to hold it in their facility without any notification that my package had arrived. They did not leave me a post card notifying me to pick it up AS DO ALL REPUTABLE SHIPPING AND MAILING SERVICES. If they had, I would have cancelled all that I had to do that day to pick it up. Now it is the weekend, and they are closed, while other REPUTABLE shipping and mailing services at least remain open for half a day on Saturday. ALSO, I never write reviews, and this is the only time I am writing a review in order to express my concern with this awful service.
I have gone to this location about three times, and let me tell you all three times have been a pleasant experience. Jonathan helped me out all three times coincidentally and his customer service was just fantastic. I had gone early in the morning to pick up my package and a lady I forgot to get her name told me to come later that it wasn't there, that sucked. Later I called and asked if they could please check and Jonathan answered the phone and luckily he was able to find all my packages so fast. That is what customer service is all about. Overall Service was SATISFACTORY, EXCELLENT and I hope to continue to encounter again.
se tomo mas de un mes en yegar. tres dias antes de que la caja yegara, alguien me llamo de uno de los electronicos que iban en la caja, rapidamente llame a Guatex Van Nuys y el senor me dijo que hiba a investigar que estaba pasando. nunca me llamo para informarme, yo tube que estar llamando. en cambio, el me echo la culpa a mi por ser muy especifica en la descripcion de lo que yo mandava o lo que la caja contenia, mi familia le tomo fotos a la caja cuando yego para tener pruebas que habian abierto la caja y se robaron todo los electronicos nuevos. cuando me queje con el senor, me dijo que si hubiera sabido que habian avierto la caja el huviera echo algo. "yo le llame antes que llegara la caja y ni le puso inportancia ( cuando llamaba decia que estaba ocupado cargando cajas,como yo ya havia pagado). ya hace 1 mes le mande pruevas de las llamadas que me hicieron fotos de la caja abierta y no ha echo nada, no ha llamado y tampoco van a regresar lo que me robaron eso ni dudarlo!.
