I ordered the sales team Coffee, Donuts, and Bagels before I came in to buy the car..up to that point it was all going so well.
Long story not so short version...
Last Wednesday I went to pick up the Unlimited Rubicon I ordered back in November.
Showed up at the dealer gave them my Control Number and ID Badge from work. Get into the finance office and the paperwork has the MSRP price as the final price. I ask for the invoice sheet and they give me a run around about how they are already giving me great financing. I told them I had my Control Number and they need to show me the invoice price. New Guy comes in and says "Oh Ya...did they say you could have that? It's $40,000. Sound Good?"
Of all the papers I brought with me I forgot to bring my invoice print out I got back in November. I said yes to $40,000 thinking my paperwork at home said that and went on my way with my Jeep.
Got home, found the invoice paper and realized I made a huge mistake...the Invoice Price was $38,600. I also realized I never saw my Affiliate Rewards Sheet I brought in after the salesman took it. It conveniently went missing.
My Wife and I go back that next Saturday and ask to see the invoice sheet for the Jeep and we have another copy of the Control Number. We go through three guys telling us the business office is closed and they can't print out our invoice because no one has the keys to get in on the weekend but if we come back Monday they can help us. 2 hours later the sales manager comes out and says he'll do everything he can to make it right but we need to come back Monday.
I come in today, find out the sales manager we were introduced to is just a salesman, and yada yada yada. It ends up with myself and the guy who originally told me the invoice price was $40,000 in the office talking to each other very loudly. He said I was putting words in his mouth yada yada yada.
He says he'll fix it if we settle down...takes my control number...and comes back and says he can't run it and the system won't let him input it and that they already gave me a I call Affiliate Rewards and tell them whats going on...I hand my cell to the dealer guy and say "Chrysler wants to talk to you".
Within 5 minutes I had the correct price, a new contract, and a handshake. The guy still tried to give me a stern talking to about the importance of communication as if this was somehow my fault.
Chrysler corporate really came through on this one. They even called me back today to ask how it went and inquire about why I had to call in.
I had a very bad experienced with these dealership I wanted a new car we ran credit and had price info when i was ok to buy vehicle price info had change there was miscommunication these giuy just try to trap me to get a vehicle knowing he can not give me that deal he just wanted to put me on the system and try to sale me another deal, overall expericend all the representatives over there have miscommunication and these guys will do anything to sell a car even if they know the deal they promise you is not available in the dealer.
