Van Buren Urgent Care

I was in and out very quick and taken care of. Don't feel the need for a Primary Care Physician, I plan on keep coming here.

Waste of time! Lots of wasted time! I've had a really sore throat for days and my son just had strep, so we thought I should get it checked out. My husband dropped me off and went to get our kids some food. Since they weren't busy when he came back in, the receptionist told him she'd tell me that they were waiting. Nope. She got busy. She came and emptied the trash in the room since it was now close to closing time, but never mentioned that my ride was here or that my kids were waiting outside. I sat in a tiny freezing exam room for an hour waiting for a pretend doctor to come in look at my throat, say "I think it's post nasal drip because your tonsils don't look bad" and suggest 3 prescriptions. MY TONSILS WERE REMOVED YEARS AGO! Had I known my poor family was waiting outside for me, we'd have left long before. RIDICULOUS!!!

I took my son to VBUC because he injured his finger at football practice. When we first entered the office, I noticed that the carpet was VERY stained and it gave me the impression that the office may not have been very clean. When we approached the receptionist, we were not greeted with a smile or a welcome and I felt as if we were bothering her simply by being there. On a positive note, we were called back to the room quickly; however, the staff, including the doctor NEVER introduced themselves to my son or myself, so we did not know their names. Whenever we go to our primary care office for a visit, the medical assistant or nurse ALWAYS say "I'm XXXX, the medical assistant, nurse, etc." And, if we are seeing a different doctor, the doctor always introduces his/herself. In addition, not once did I witness the doctor or medical assistant wash their hands or use hand sanitizer when entering the room. I didn't even see hand sanitizer available in the room. Also, the doctor was chewing gum in a noticeable manner, which I thought was VERY unprofessional. On a positive note, the medical assistant and the doctor were kind.



The location and hours are very convenient; however, I will not seek care there again based on our first experience. There are a lot of urgent cares in the AA, Ypsi, and Canton area, so I will simply go to another facility next time



To the owner/manager: A friendly smile when you walk in an establishment goes a long way, especially an urgent care when people don't feel well and it is always nice to know the name and the role of the person who is providing your care.

I would like to thank Dr. Sameer A. Huraibi for saving my son's life. If it wasn't for the Dr. my son might not have made it. My son had a severe bacterial infection in his neck and our primary Dr. wanted him to wait 4 or 5 days to have a CT scan. We stopped in at the Van Buren Urgent Care just to pick up a copy of my son's blood work, and Dr. Sameer A. Huraibi told us that he wanted us to go to the emergency room right then. We did and they had to do emergency surgery on my son. Like I said I believe that Dr. Sameer A. Huraibi saved his life.

I would highly recommend him to anyone, I have since brought a few of my friends there and they have all been pleased. I love all of his staff, and the staff at the pharmacy as well. They always take very good care of us and we never have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. You just can't find this type of care anywhere. They really care about their patients. I wish there was something I could do to repay all of them.

The rooms are clean and taken care of. The staff is friendly, Dr Huriabi and the rest of his team (pharmacy, nurses, reception) takes the job seriously they move very quickly but listen and respond to any concern you may have. I feel his main goal is to get you back home to rest so you can start feeling better, in a non pushy way.

Highly recomend great DR friendly staff

Misdiagnosed my child, did not x ray, then mis dosed my childs medication. had to go to their doctor the next day and get correcy diagnosis and correct medication. The staff at this eestablishment is ridiculous. they have attitudes everytime i go there, and everytime i call...will NEVER go there again, and will also tell my family and friends to never go there!!!

My last visit, which was my first visit, was nothing more than phenomenal.



The wait time was minimal, totaling maybe 20 minuets, and the knowledgeable staff had me correctly diagnosed within minuets. This doesn't mean the doc walked in and out, he took his time and didn't rush out the door to get to the next patient. He answered all of my questions leaving me feeling reassured that all was well. It was refreshing to have this sort of service, especially after dealing with St. Joes for all previous issues.



Pretty basic, $50 for first time patients due at the time of check-in and additional charges applied thereafter. The pharmacy is connected to the facility with meds ready almost immediately. From what I understand, the pharmacy is price competitive, therefore the scrip didn't break the bank.



The staff and pharmacy were super friendly and down to earth. The next time I am in need of medical advice, I will take the extra drive time to seek their advice.

The doctor was great but the billing is not went to see doctor in octber and never got a bill and i just got a bill statement on jan 17th saying im late 60to90day this is why i dont go to see doctors because they dont know how to send the bill out and know you are hurting my credit and my husbands and this needs to stop i had good credit intill know because of you i have the money to pay and i could of payed the day i was in your office but you said i didnt owe any thing and that is not right i will find out how i can make all doctor offices send bills out like they should

Excellent facilities! Love the doctor & the staff. As a family of 7,we have utilized this facilty a couple of times & have been pleased every time! :)

Excellent facility & staff. Visited today and was never there b4. I was in back with the Doctor in approx. 17 minutes. The Doctor was very kind & caring as was his staff. They treated me very well & the pharmacy was equally excellent. They took the extra time to sort out some insurance issues for me & was very nice & even ran outside to chase me down to give me back my insurance card and said "please take care of yourself". I left knowing that they Cared. Wholly recommend this center & staff.
