I was excited to meet Mycha and get my Deva Cut on yesterday 6/22/17. I assumed and expected her knowledge and expertise and I was listening and trusted her opinion so I gave a nice tip and bought her suggested products against my better judgement. She did help me realize the porosity of my hair but the suggestions for high porosity hair products were incorrect from what I already knew and how my hair felt leaving and the way I felt leaving the salon. My hair is now crunchy, more brittle than before and very dry. The products I paid and went home with were not the best for my hair because my hair requires way more moisture and heavier products which she claimed it didn't need. I was happy and then after I felt disappointed and confused. But after learning she had only been natural a few months and I had been natural for 7 years I should have known better. I knew where my hair was lacking and I received a Deva Cut that was nice. But the product suggestions were money I didn't need to spend and not necessary and I probably will never open the products.
I saw Brittney Blake who is a master stylist and that she was! She did exactly what i wanted to the tee. And as for my overall experience of the salon, it was fantastic. The atmosphere and customer service are on point!
When calling for first visit, I asked the cost of perm, & was quoted $70. It was a little higher that I was used to, but wasn't surprised because salon very nice & clean. Everyone very friendly. The stylist was running 30 minutes behind, due to previous client being late. I understood; no big deal. BUT, when checking out, was charged $40 for a cut, in addition to $70 perm. I have NEVER been charged a separate fee for a cut when getting a perm. My hair is very short (about 2-3 inches off my neck), so length wasn't an issue. I was in sticker shock. Yes, it was my fault for not asking, but when I have NEVER been charged a 2nd fee, I didn't know to ask if there was an extra charge. Since you don't get a perm without a cut, I didn't suspect another charge. That's like charging for an oil change, but then charging extra to drain the old oil. I have no problem with the salon itself. The people were very friendly, & the salon clean. However, I can't afford them & can't trust future quotes.
This is a great place for a hair cut. The salon is very clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating. I could not get a good hair cut until I found this place. The owner Michael Shawn has been the only one that can cut my hair the way I like it.
Modern salon with an at home feel. The staff was great and all of the stylist were very knowledgeable. The salon was clean and easy to find with ample parking. My hair is extra thick and long. Other places had quoted $600 for my keratin and Synergy quoted me $400. I am absolutely in love with my hair and the lack of frizz after getting it done. I will absolutely be back in 6 months to get it done again.
I will not go there again. I called in for an appointment and went in and they had me down for two weeks from today. Now when I call in to ask for an appointment on Saturday it doesn't mean two weeks from Saturday. And then there were no sorrys for the mistake or maybe act like they care and reschudel for maybe another day; they just let me walk out. And this is not the first time either. I've set up appointments before and they either didn't put me in the book or put it down for the wrong day. I guess they are too good for my money.
