My Husband and I used Richard Garber for our bankruptcy. We couldn't recommend him highly enough! We researched the assembly line bankruptcy attorneys purely to compare fees, and even the cheapest, a $695 "special" was per person, and did not include the per person $300 filing fees. Not including meeting with your attorney, or your court appearance, the bargain basement rate was $1,990. For $2,500, we had an excellent, actual attorney who was always available to answer our questions, via phone and email, and meet with us whenever we had in person questions. Having previously worked for a law firm in an unrelated area, I know that most documents are usually prepared by paralegals, and the attorney who shows up at your hearing has never even reviewed the document. Our creditors meeting was today, and we actually heard the debtors before us being grilled regarding inaccurate and suspicious entries on there schedules, and saw the attorneys who had never seen the court documents before scrambling to make excuses as there meetings were postponed for clarification and proper documentation. Not only was Mr. Garber familiar with every aspect of our bankruptcy, but our legal documents were so expertly prepared that our review took less than five minutes, with no question as to content, and was basically a formality. Trust me, after what I saw today, it is worth the extra $505 to have this excellent and attentive attorney who actually cares about you and your case by your side during what can be an embarrassing and stressful legal life decision such as bankruptcy.
