Be carfull! Watch out! WARNING: NOT A BLUE CROSS PROVIDER!!!





I do not recommend this dental office. Totally took advantage of me and my girlfriend. Before we made our appointment we called and asked if Dr. David Firestone's office was a Blue Cross Provider, Lelani who is the office manager (She calls herself Rita on the phone if she it trying to avoid your call, we found out later) told us that they were in indeed a Blue Cross Provider. So we pulled the trigger and made appointments for that upcoming Saturday.



When we arrived we explained that our Blue Cross dental plans were limited, but provided us with 2 free dental cleaning per year and covered 100%. We were told by Lalani "No problem". After our cleanings were performed, we were told they could not reach our insurance company because it was a Saturday, but that we were all set. We thanked them and headed on our way. Two weeks later we received a bill for the cleanings. It turns out they ARE NOT A BLUE CROSS PROVIDER!!!



I called Lalani personally to find out what the deal was, and she then stated "Oh, we accept all PPO's...but we are not an ACTUAL Blue Cross Provider, you must have misunderstood."



In our opinion there was nothing to misunderstand, we called and asked first, we explained the 100% covered teeth cleanings, they said we were all good. That is just BAD BUSINESS!!! Why would we ever choose to go to someone that is not in our network when we get 100% coverage in network. It's misrepresentation, and it's wrong.



We have called on several occasions to clear this up and Lalani has been rude, laughed at us, over talked us, and has even yelled and hung up the phone. We are thinking it's a possible chemical imbalance, because it just doesn't make any sence. When I recently asked her for an email address, because we felt this might be a more rational means of communication, she stated there was no email address. To date the issue still has not ben resolved.



During my most recent call Lalani ,or Rita as she was claiming to be, stated there was nothing my insurance company could do to help me and that I must pay the bill or they were sending it to collections. She said it like she had said that statement a thousand times. This leads me to believe this is a pretty regular scam going on at Ol' Dr. Firestone's office. This would also explain why the "no email adress" response. That way nothing is documented.



We have been forced to file complaints with the Attorney General's Office and The Better Business Bureau



We recommend steering clear of Dr. David Firestone! There are a lot of honest businesses out there, this is just not one of them.
