Shin’s Family Martial Arts Center

My husband and I are such huge fans of this place. Our twins are now obsessed with learning wall flips and Kong’s. I cant keep up with all the different moves and tricks they have been learning at Shins. My husband is now building a make shift “ninja course” in our back yard and it’s actually pretty funny because my two kids were the laziest kids known to man a year ago. They tried just about every sport and activity and hated all of them. This place has saved our family!

Where else can I go and run into everyone from Afterburn, my son’s school, my husband’s jiujitsu buddies, my brother’s stunt friends, my son’s pediatrician, my next door neighbor, an A list celebrity who thinks no one notices him with his hat on low and that’s just on a Tuesday. The sense of community here is amazing and although my son just started here a month ago our family feels so welcomed. It feels like home to us. Love love this place!

People who feel entitled will not like this place. Respect is their main philosophy. Sounds like the bad reviews here are a example of that. I trained at Shins years ago and I know many families who currently have their children enrolled here. Nothing but positive remarks. I think they even won best martial arts school again.

This is first year I tried Shins for summer camp.
My son loves it here .
The only issue I see here is the time restriction of 9 - 4 . If it is before or after 9 - 4 we have to pay 5$ more for every hour.

I have two kids, a boy who's 10 and a girl who's 8, and they always have so much energy. I needed to put them in a summer camp that they would really enjoy, and be able to expel all of their energy at. I came across Shin's Family Martial Arts Center and I was overly impresses with the way they run their summer camp. They have a huge gym that the kids are able to play in, with big trampolines, a zip line, a bungee, a rock wall; they get to tumble and use the equipment for obstacle courses and they get play floor games, make arts and crafts and do martial arts too! I was just so impressed when the kids wouldn't stop talking about what they got to do that day! They had so much fun doing each activity, they would constantly bring it up. I would come a little early to watch for the rest and they were having so much fun! The counselors are great with the kids, they are very attentive and observed the kids with great care, they played games with them and made it a lot of fun for them all! I rate this place five stars, because of how great the counselors are and the way the kids have so much fun, everyday! I will definitely have them try out the one week free pass, and probably even sign them up for classes! Definitely come here for summer camp!

Absolutely obnoxious staff running this place. No kidding, the worst summer day camp my kids have ever been in. These people are so unbelievably rude; I can’t even image how they treated my child, who began complaining about how nasty the women running this place were on the very first day. Thank God we were only signed up for a week. Dealing with them for an entire summer would have been unbearable for our family. No way would we ever go back. Their “program” is nothing like they describe it and made my kid miserable. What a learning experience. This is a stern warning to all who consider forking out the very high tuition they charge. It is seriously not worth it. Find another day camp – there are lots better ones to choose from in Santa Clarita.
