Go if you like canned and frozen food...

I've been there a few times for breakfast and lunch and have failed to be impressed. Today was Mothers Day and my husband took me there as I wanted breakfast foods and fresh fruit. It was not very busy and the staff was friendly. But their food was unappealing. My husband got hash browns which were limp and greasy, and not even the slightest bit crispy or brown. The bacon was extremely greasy and it took a while to pick through the pieces to find some pieces that were crispy. Their French toast sticks were obviously frozen and thrown in a fryer to cook them. The 'sausage' gravy was tasteless and had maybe one sausage patty chopped up into the whole pan on the buffet - I'm quite certain it was the canned kind as well. The fruit was ok but not very cold nor fresh tasting. The pineapple, especially, tasted metallic and was VERY sugar, just like the canned kind. I honestly don't see a difference in the food from when it was the chain 'Ryans'. This place seems to pride itself in 'freshness' as it advertises it's various other restaurants in town and fresh produce in crates as you walk in but the idea certainly does not translate to the food on the buffet. It's unfortunate because there are few breakfast places in town, so this place really wouldn't have to try hard to be amazing, yet they don't.

Mama Junes' is a bit pricey for buffet. The selection is limited and seating is cramped.
