Eagles Rest RV Park and staff are AWESOME!My family and I stayed here June 2013. The staff actually listened to us when making reservations and placed us in a site close to the bathrooms due to my parents being disabled. My father was given a key to the handicap bathroom which is only used by those who need it (no others can enter this bathroom). They booked us on a glacier cruse and made sure that the staff understood he was in a wheelchair so pick up and boarding was arranged correctly. The RV sites are large and easy to enter and exit. The only downer I have was that we had a location close to a joint that was opened late and had noise with late night traffic. ( which can not be helped by them, and not that bad). Valdez is beautiful and the view from this RV park is wonderful (I don't think that Valdez could have a bad view). I highly recommend this RV park!!Thanks Eagles Rest!
Located on 5 Mile Dayville Road, Allison Point is probably one of the best campgrounds in Valdez. Most sites overlook the water; great fishing, family and pet friendly, lots of wildlife (including bears with their cubs) and there's a 5 mile bike path that runs parallel to the water. The fishing is right off the banks, for Pink Salmon in July, and Silver Salmon in August. Can't beat the price, $15.00 a night and a fishing license to fish all day. The camp provides clean water, garbage bin, free telephone, and clean bathrooms. Firewood is sold on site. There's no electricity, and RV's have to go to town to pumpout (it's free at Cap'n Joes)but the trade off is well worth it!
