Beware of this place. I have problem skin and currently see a dermatologist. I use retinA, which acts as a very potent defoliator. When I booked my appointment for a deep peel I made sure to mention that I am using it. She responded that as long as I am off retinA for one week, I shouldn't have any problems. I did just that and skipped using retinA for 7 days, and on the day of my peel appointment I saw my dermatologist who said absolutely no deep peels unless I am off retinA for at least 3 weeks, otherwise I will get severe burns and hyper-pigmentation. That already should have raised a red flag, but I wanted to do the peel so badly, that I called the spa and asked if I could have their mildest peel, which is Vitamin C. Have I known that in advance, I would never even book this appointment in the first place since that is not a service I have asked for. But ok, I showed up for my appointment on time to have Vitamin C peel. The lady started telling me how I need to use skin care products recommended by her. I let her know that I am using a moisturizer recommended by my dermatologist and I am not comfortable and not going to change it. She informed me that if I do not use products recommended by her I will not see the desired results. Well, since I did not want Vitamin C peel in the first place, and she told me there will be no result, I told her I do not want to proceed with the peel. She responded that it is their policy and I have to do it. Wait what? So it is not about my skin, but about the office policy. Now, a few words about the policy. When I walked in I was asked to sign that policy that clearly states that customers get charged full amount for service if they miss it for the SECOND time. Since this was my first and only time I felt like the policy did not apply to me and left. As I was leaving she screamed she will still send me an invoice.
Mary Sullivan is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately everyone knows it and you may have to wait for your appointment, but she is worth the wait. Her knowledge of different types of massage is extensive. Her expertise in lymphatic massage is unique and highly sought after.
If you are looking for a great massage, this is the place. Just do it, stop waiting and go here for a great massage. An update to my original review: This is from 09/27/2016: I just had a "get accquainted massage" with a potential new therapist at ATMA Wholelistic Day Spa. I won't mention any names as yet, but as usual Mary Sullivan (owner of ATMA) has picked a winner. My massage (dispite being ONLY an hour) was absolutely wonderful. This person will leave you wanting to book another appointment as soon as possible. If you haven't had a massage by ANY of the therapist at ATMA, I urge you to call now and book an appointment. You will not regret it.
First, I paid for service before receiving service, uh, ok. I paid for 90'. I arrived at 5:35, paid, then went back. I got 65'. I left the bldg at 6:50. I was talked to rudely when I started talking which made me more tense. Therapist did not know how to use hot stones; I had to ask her to stop using them and just use hands. Terrible actual massage. When I was leaving, I called her on only providing 65' when I paid for 90'. She disagreed and yelled at me then slammed the door when I left. Most miserable massage I've ever had. EVER!!!!
If I could give 10 stars (or a sky full) I would! I appreciate both Cathy and Becky for taking such good care of my Mom. Highly recommend Cathy (massages) and Becky (Foot Reflexology). I am looking forward to my first Foot Reflexology experience next month. : )Thank you,:Donna
I have been searching for a new chiropractor for a while. I get tired of the ones that adjust you for the sake of adjusting. I call them the wam, bam, thank you dude. They don't care about the way you feel. They figure if you are there, they will adjust whatever they want. Not at Vacaville Chiropractic. Dr. Knych and his staff really care why you are there, what is hurting, and they then do what is necessary to get you feeling better, or keep you feeling better. I have finally found the chiropractor for me. Dr. Knych takes his time and doesn't rush his treatment. No wam and bam. Just great care and you walk out feeling better. Go see Dr. Knych and the staff at Vacaville Chiropractic. You won't regret it.
ATMA is listed twice in Yelp. Not sure why, but GO HERE TO GET A GREAT MASSAGE!!
