Let me explain to you their methods of getting you in a car outside of your price range. They WILL NOT work with you on the price at all, they WILL adjust the rates to get the payment where you want them. They are suckering you in. Allow me to elaborate. My dad and I were discussing financing with our salesman Paulo and my dad draws the line at $349 a month. He goes back to the manager, comes back, says, "I don't know how he did it, but congratulations." They adjusted the rate to one they knew we couldn't get as opposed to keeping the same interest rate and coming down on the price of the car. They knew they weren't going to move that car to us at a dollar over $349 a month, but if I had already driven the car for a week my dad might budge. So they want to raise my rates by $13 a month. The problem here is morally I don't want to support a shady business. So, of course I should just return the car and take my money else where. Wrong. They ran both my credit and my dad's credit through 10+ banks and murdered both of our credit scores. Now even with proof of income and a down payment I'm not going to be able to find financing any where else. Whatever, I want the Buick anyways and I know I'll be able to refinance in a few months. And this isn't Paulo's fault really, how am I supposed to know if he was already aware of this. He was actually pretty cool through the whole process. Steven, the financing guy was also pretty cool. The bottom line is I know the route they took to make this sale, and that's truly weak in spirit. I'm going in today, and they NEED to come down on this price and put my payments where I want them. At this point I have almost no leverage. I just hope now that they do the right thing. Would be 1 star if I wasn't treated so well by the staff initially, but when you have money in your pocket and you're here to buy a car of course everyone is going to be friendly. Here comes the true test, how professional will they be when they have my hands tied.
I saw an ad on Craigslist for a VW Beetle and it looked like a great price for a beetle, so I called the number. Ray answered and he told me the car was in the shop, I thought to myself that's great he's even getting it fixed before I get it. He told me the car would be ready in 3 days. So I called on the third day and he said that the car was done and he didn't want to go get it because he was in Vacaville and it was in Sacramento. So I was like okay that isn't that bad I have to wait one more day to get a fixed car. So the next day I go to Vacaville to meet him and he tells me the day before that I should meet him at 12 o'clock, and when I got there he said he wouldn't make it until 4 o'clock. I was even fine with that but then he texts me that, "So you know I have a dealer license right so I've got to charge the tax and license on this and it comes out to 4400". I get there finally and the front headlight is out, the back tail light is broken has a gapping hole in it. Didn't buy.
Everyone is super friendly and professional. I never felt pressured during my whole visit! I will definitely be returning!
I purchased a Nissan Altima 2006 for $4400 About a month later had it looked at and was told the timing chain ($2,500 fix) needed to be replaced. Ray sold it to me as is which means I couldn't return it after 24 hours and he pretty much told me tough luck kid! My fault for not being more thorough but it was only my second car and now I am stuck with a car i can't drive or afford to fix. However I learned a lesson not to trust people like I did before ...
Stopped by for an oil change, saw a truck that was perfect for my sister. She emailed the dealer and we were back on the weekend to sign the papers. This was the easiet buying we have experienced in a long long time. Our grandfather owned a dealership in Petaluma so we are well aware of how they operate. Vacaville Gmc stands apart from the the usual grind. I hightly reccomend their service and sales depts.
Bought a Pre-Owned Enclave last weekend here - positive experience, no complaints. We have been looking for a replacement vehicle for over a month and have seen our share of dealerships and these guys were in the top three. Not only did they have the car we were looking for - we had our best customer service experience here :) thanks vacaville buick we'll be back to service our new ride!
Came here with my parents to get a small car for college. This was our third week of shopping and I almost gave up hope, but alas we found a place with a decent price, good customer service and a professional sales person. When I was at another dealer a few days ago I felt like I was transported to a 1980s bad movie - No customer service from a walking cliche. I was pleasantly surprised at Vacaville GMC and am a happy owner of a 2012 Chevy Malibu.
Keith King....very good service, David the service manager was top notch. I live about 20 miles away from vacaville Buick but will go to them for all my GM automoble needs.
