I called Vanderzicht Towing after I needed a flat tire repair.
Two unclean, unfriendly, young men showed up and started working on removing the rim which held the flat tire. They both struggled for quite a while the driver struck a screwdriver with a hammer to remove a cracked lug nut. They worked clumsily as they hung cigarettes out of the corner of their mouths. The driver who was working on getting the broken lug nut loose was complaining that he may not be able to free the nut from the lug. I suggested that he tow it to a garage to have the nut removed. He just looked at me and turned back to the task at hand. I then witnessed as he gave the screwdriver a few more hits and I shuddered as he pounded the claw hammer into my rim.
I brought the incident to their attention and pointed out the damage. The driver denied that the damage was due to his negligence. After I continued to point out the obvious hammer marks on the rim he finally said " I needed to do whatever it took to get the rim off of the car.
I did pursue the issue further to be reimbursed for the damage and the owner of Vanderzicht Towing denied any wrong doing.
Called this company after the driver of their ramp truck cut me off while riding on my motorcycle, the person I talked to when I called basically didn’t give a rip, and said it’s hard to see motorcycles. As a business owner myself, I would have said something like “ sorry that this happened, I’ll talk to my driver and make sure it doesn’t happen again”. Instead of “ oh well”.
