About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Magic Castle Hotel
Judy R. rated

This place was definitely an experience I'll remember. If you're ever lucky enough to check this place out, you're in for a treat! When you first pull up to the Magic Castle, the valet greets you and you wait in line to enter. I went on a Saturday with my wife and our brothers and sisters. The place opened at 5PM and we got there a little after that. I would recommend getting there on time or even earlier as it did get busy even though they just opened up. When we finally got in, there was a lobby and a really small gift shop. We paid for admittance and then said the magic words "open sesame" to enter. Our dinner wasn't til 6PM so we got drinks at the bar. They had a lounge with some parlor magic tricks going on but it got full. That's why I would recommend going as early as you can to get the most out of this place. DINNER: Dinner was surprisingly better than what I expected after reading the reviews on here. We got the truffle fries for appetizers. It was okay. Not the greatest. I ordered a 14oz steak. I can't remember the name but it was pretty delicious. The dinner was pretty pricey, but since this was a rare occasion I guess it was worth it. We were celebrating my birthday as well so they offered champagne or a slice of cheesecake to me. I got the cheesecake and it was pretty good and a nice addition to the meal. The service was really good and the food was better than expected. Because we ate dinner here, we got a ticket to the 8:30PM magic show. Since it was a busy weekend, at least we were guaranteed a seat. After dinner, we walked around to go see some of the different areas and shows. Because it was so busy and packed, the wait times were really long and you needed to be in line way in advance before the show even started. This was the only thing I didn't like was the wait and being so crowded. I thought it was a more exclusive place but it didn't seem like it from the inside. We got to watch a few magic shows and up close magic tricks. The shows were really good and an experience I'll never forget. If you ever get the chance to be invited here, make sure to come and experience this for yourself!

Gustave Saves the Day!!!

My friend and I were staying at the Downtown LA Sheraton as part of a large group participating in the Inaugural LA Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon. We arrived at the hotel at about 1:30 pm, hoping for an early check-in, but more importantly hoping to arrange a late check-out the next day, as we were in the "back of the pack" and likely would not make it back before the 12 noon check-out. The first person we encountered at the front desk was polite and tried to help get us a 1pm checkout; however because our room was not ready yet, she could not make the change on the computer and suggested we come back at 3 and try again. The next person we encountered was, in a word, horrid. She explained, rather rudely, that all hotels have a standard 3pm check in and 12 pm check out. Um, really? And then she had the nerve to tell us "Well, your room isn't ready anyway, so you'll have to come back later." So it's OK for us to have our check-in delayed, but we couldn't check out late? Go figure. Furious but determined to make the best of our race weekend, my friend and I headed out to find a late lunch. Upon returning to the desk, we encountered yet another staff member at the desk - Gustave - and explained our situation again. At first he was concerned that there were no double rooms available - a pity because our accommodation arrangements had been made months in advance. At that point we were about to completely loose it, but Gustave saved the day. He made sure that we had the best accommodations available and granted our late checkout request, allowing us to completely enjoy our race day getaway. Our room was comfortable and clean, the beds slept well, and though short, we had a good overnight stay. I'd honestly have to say that while the hotel website boasts of a recent remodel, the room wasn't as nice as other hotels I've visited. However, because of the exemplary service we received, I had to throw in another star for good measure. Thank you Gustave for a wonderful stay!

so i moved to L.A. and after trying a bunch of places i decided to take a chance on the Mayfair Hotel...and was I very happy that I did..the rooms are clean..the location is excellent..the staff is excellent...AND WOW THE PRICE IS VERY GOOD...I don't think you can beat this hotel for the price and location..hey this is L.A. ....does not matter where you live..it's a wild city...and the area around the hotel might look unsafe..BUT IS IS VERY SAFE...there is a nice laundry next door ...and you get to meet the locals there..as you do with the nice folks who sell fruit from their trucks parked on the street...all in all it will be fun staying at the Mayfair hotel...if you complain..about the place it is because you are too lazy to really check it out.. it's not the Hotel..it's YOU...!!!

A friend of mine recommended The Bonaventure Brewing Company. We were looking for a place in the downtown area to hang out. We were pleasantly surprised by their selection of home brewed beers, which all tasted great. We all sat out on the patio because it was nice outside and we got to enjoy an amazing view of downtown. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich and enjoyed it thoroughly! It was blackened to perfection and was served on very soft bread. It was absolutely mouth watering. The stuff was down to earth, yet professional, atmosphere was refreshing and enjoyable. From the time that we walked in to the time we left the service was on point. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking have a fun night out downtown.

BEST KEPT SECRET IN HOLLYWOOD

I think that The Hotel Hollywood is the best kept secret in Hollywood. The building has been completely rennovated, it's spotless clean and quiet, there's a laundry room, satellite tv, micro-waves and refrigerators in each room, the Staff is very kind and professional, it's central to all things Hollywood and walking distance from some great restaurants. And the prices are far more than reasonable. I'd recommend it strongly as a first choice over the much pricier Hotels in the Hollywood/Highland area. It's their personal touch that separates them from the larger Hotels. And if you're an Actor coming into Hollywood for Pilot-Season, you can't beat the price or the location. Perfect 10! earl.

Hotel Solaire Los Angeles

This hotel was a nice surprise for the rate and was conviently located near downtown LA and had cheap ($2 per night) parking. I visited LA for a conference last month at the convention center, about a 20 minute walk from the hotel with a few places to grab a taco or hot chocolate from a local vendor and practice your Spanish on a local. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the rooms are pretty standard for an economy hotel, comfortable yet efficient. If you're looking to save money and a place to park overnight that won't break the budget, this is a good option. I'd stay again if I needed to be located close to downtown.

Great find

Great value for the cost! A plumbing emergency put my family and I out for a night and we randomly picked this place. The rooms were clean and updated and had all the neccessities and a little extra like a microfridge. The bathrooms have a nice spa like decor. It has its own restauraunt/bar and there is a subway and mcdonalds nearby. The only bad things are parking is $12.00 per day(still good compared to other hotels in the area) and the elevators at the hotel are slow. Other than that,we had a great experience, free internet, free continental breakfast....good times

We booked the Comfort Inn because we have been pleased with Comfort Inns in the past plus a lot of places were booked up. We arrived at 1:00 just to see if they could check us in before going to our conference. They readily checked us in at the front desk and were friendly and helpful with directions. I go into Los Angeles inner city at least one a year. I am used to what an inner city looks like and wasn't willing to pay the $300--$400 a night for places a few streets down. The hotel is safe with gated parking.

This hotel was definitely an awesome pick for a friend and I to stay! The man at the reception desk (Michael) was extremely helpful. From assisting us in finding a place to eat, to calling a cab for us, to getting me a band aid for my drunken battle wound, he was so helpful and friendly! He even ran up to our room and made sure our curling iron was turned off after we had already left the hotel for the evening. The room was very clean, simple, and affordable. Perfect for our occasion! Very pleased.

The LINE Hotel
Stephanie R. rated

My husband and I did a "stay-cation" and stayed the weekend at the Line Hotel. We had the most absolute fabulous time and felt like we were truly on vacation. The hotel has amazing restaurants within it - Commissary and Pot. Both were fabulous and so different from each other. If you are into nightlife, we really recommend Breakroom 86, which is attached to the hotel. Awesome 80's club/bar! The front desk manager, Marrianne, goes above and beyond for the guests! We were truly impressed!
