The food is very fresh and delicious and they give large portions! They have the best Caldo/ chicken, squash soup/in town. We eat there or take out at least once a week. Great place!!
1. Teka Molino
Imagine walking into your Tia Margarita's kitchen while she's making stone ground, thick, corn tortillas. That's the memory that comes to mind when I walk into Teka. It's authentic, homemade food; nothing is processed, everything is from scratch. You can't hardly wait for your food to be ready, …

The best choice for Tex-Mex in town. Every time I want a healthy, delicious, and affordable meal, I choose this place. The Freedom Salad is my go to choice. The staff is always friendly and the environment is always pleasant.
I have been eating here off and on for several years, they have always been good and consistent. Instead of getting tired or bored with going to the same place, they always seem to get better and better. There are many good Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, and I would easily put this one in …
This place has the real Mexican food that you eat back in Mexico. Nice server; the outfit a bit out there but her attention and attitude was good. I recommend if your looking for that real Mexican taste just like in the streets of Mexico and la feria :)

They brought me a chalupa with no refried beans and no cheese. Only dried chicken, some iceberg lettuce and a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes. It was uneatable.
We loved going to Lapuntada's. The owner was very polite and the food was delicious. Now new owners and new name. They are very rude and do not speak English. My wife refuses to go back. My son was there and had to wait an hour for his order and he said they were very rude to him. He also refuses to go back. My question is this, what happened to speaking English in America? What happened to being polite to your customers?
Wasn’t expecting such great food. Highly recommend
Amazing food and atmosphere. Service not so good. Potato kegs and burgers are amazing. Convenient location.
if you are out with friends drinking and nothing eles is open then you won't mind the food and service
I went here for lunch on a weekday.I ordered the rancheros enchiladas from the lunch menu. The enchiladas, rice and refried beans were excellent. I also had a homemade corn tortilla on the side. It was great. They brought out chips and 3 types of salsa. The salsas were ok. Not bad but not great. The chips were average. They appeared to be store bought. The sweet tea was good. The lunch menu items were only $5.99 and this included tea. Great value. Customer service was very good.I will go back.
I came here for lunch on a weekday. Friendly staff. I had the flautas lunch plate w/ sweet tea. It was very good. Prices were reasonable. The salsa was VERY good.I will go back.
Average.I came here for lunch on a weekday with a group of seven. We heard there’s not a lot of seating room and it gets crowded during lunch. They were right. People were lined up outside waiting for a table. We arrived early and were able to get seated right away. The staff was very friendly and the service was good.I had the beef puffy taco lunch plate. The food and salsa were average. My friends really liked the flour tortillas. I had the corn tortillas. They were tough and tasted freezer burned. The prices were a little high considering that you can get equal or better food at other places around town and a lower price.I would go back but I’m not in a hurry.
I came here to pick up breakfast tacos to go. Their daily special on breakfast tacos is a good deal. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean, organized and looked nice. The beans in the taco were good. The salsa verde was good. I was looking forward to the homemade flour tortillas unfortunately they were rubbery. This is not good. For this reason I am giving them only 3 stars but feel I should probably drop to 2 stars.I will try again for lunch sometime and update my rating depending on the next experience. Good tortillas = 4 stars, bad tortillas again = 2 stars.
