The manager of this place is by far the rudest person I've met in a long time. We're part of a Special Olympics team that brings about 50-75 SO athletes there one night every week in the fall (for which they get paid several hundred dollars per night). My daughter (who has special needs) and diabetes and Celiac disease (so can't eat any of that breaded or deep fried crap they sell in the snack bar). So I brought in a salad from Wendys so she could eat (it was dinner time). He basically told us we either needed to get the Wendys food out of there or leave the premises. He was extremely rude and confrontational about it. They limit the number of lanes we have so we almost always end up with 6 or 7 bowlers to a lane, even though the rest of the place is always empty short of a couple of stray bowlers. Price wise, they're about 25% more expensive than the other bowling centers in the area and their equipment, shoes, food, etc. are no better. I understand the place has to make a buck just like everyone else, but he really blew it on this one. I'd been planning on buying new shoes and bowling balls for all 3 of us when I walked in there that night. We bought them the next day, elsewhere.

Saturday I drove from Lacey to Narrows Plaza Bowl with 6 kids in tow to Narrows Plaza Bowl. I checked the website and they offered bowling for 4.95 per hour for adults and 3.95 per hour for kids shoes included. I arrived and checked in. The person at the front desk informed me that a tournament had just let out and the prices had changed to 4.95 per game for adults and 3.95 per game for under 18. Plus 3.00 per shoe rental. The place was approximately 25 percent full/ or 75 percent empty for those negative folks. I asked the attendant that I had just read on the website about the prices offered and if there was a less expensive way to for everyone to bowl. He said no and that the price was 4.95 per game for adults and 3.95 for kids. Im not one to complain but overall the experience was not good and we left. We went to Pacific lanes for half the price and had a great time. The staff was friendly and the prices more in line. If you dont mind overpaying and mis-advertising then come here, because it does look like a nice place. If you want a more welcoming place go somewhere else. (note to management) If a group of 8 comes wanting to pay fair money I would take 10 percent profit on 80 bucks rather than no profit on zero. So maybe give your front man the option to barter and get customers that are willing to walk? Just a idea

From the management to the staff to the facility I had the worst experience of my life. The management and staff were extremely rude; I was even accosted by one employee; there were continuous issues with the equipment and the bowling was over priced. I will never be back again! I recommend Secoma Lanes if you are looking for bowling in Tacoma.

The Narrows has a great arcade with plenty to do for the big kids as well as the lil' guys, affordable deli style food, plenty of lanes, and a lounge with a couple pool tables as well. If you wanted to dip off for a quick cocktail you will really enjoy the feel of this spacious lounge. is has a vaulted log cabin feel inside and plenty of quiet seating to be alone with that significant other. Enjoy all this place has to offer.
