I totally damaged the whole passenger side of my car , coming out of a parking lot and catching the fire hydrant that was hiding to my right as I turned. To make matters worse , when I first heard the sound I didn't realize what it was and so I continued to tear through both doors and the back. After making a claim with my insurance , the adjuster came to my work to assess the damage. His estimate was $ 1800 , which seemed really low , by looking at the extent of the damage. Not that I would know . A co-worker had just fixed his suv at National Body Works , and he was very happy with the repair so i called and made an appointment. The first thing I noticed when I got there was all the competition ( 3 body shops within 1 block ) & yet they were busy. The staff was very helpful and friendly . The owner , Sasan explained to me that its always better to have the adjuster go to a shop to see the car & assess the damage . because ,he said ,he will disassemble the car and find all the hidden damage with the adjuster present so the estimate he writes would be accurate, Preventing delays and maximizing my coverage . something to keep in mind if I ever damage my car in the future. He called my insurance for a re-inspection; my rent a car arrived and I left. 3 days later he called to tell me that the final estimate the insurance approved is $ 3345.00 . that's almost double the original estimate. He said that many insurances like to skip out on a lot of necessary steps in the repair to save money. but his job is to fight for the customer. That was good to hear. the best part is that he gave me a $500 discount by applying discount coupons to my bill. So its like not paying my deductable .A week and half later I went to pick up my car & WOW.... What accident ? it was perfect . she was detailed & looking great. They even repaired the dent I had on my front fender , at no charge. Im so happy!!!

I was the victim of a hit and run, and although there was a tremendous amount of damage my insurance company refused to "total" the car, because it was only a few months old. I brought it to Gee-Kay, and it took a day to assess all of the damage and figure out how long it would take to fix it and how much the cost would be. After their estimate, my own insurance company tried screwing me by telling me that the car "didn't need" certain work, or that there were "other ways" (in other words, cheaper for them) to fix the work. I guess straightening the frame was "optional" to them, despite how unsafe that would have been. The owner at Gee-Kay (Joe) actually stood up to my insurance company and told them that he couldn't do the work if they were going to put me and my family in an unsafe vehicle. A second adjuster came out and sure enough he approved everything Joe said the car needed. When Enterprise was taking forever to pick me up from the shop, Joe drove me there himself. This was my first (and hopefully last) experience at a body shop, but if I had to use one again it would be Gee-Kay. These guys have been doing this forever and they know what they're doing.
I got rear ended last week while sitting behind a red light. The guy has no insurance & I am going to have to pay for the repairs & then try to sue him. Anyway , I drive by National Body Works everyday on my way to work. Actually there are a lot of body shops in this area. I went to total of 5 shops to get the best price since I’m paying for it. Every shop said I have to replace my bumper and trunk lid. All the estimates were over $1350 plus any hidden damage that they can’t see but all assured me there was definitely hidden damage . That is all except National . I could see that The estimator at national was really trying to keep my cost down since I told him I’m paying out of pocket. Nationals quote was $790 since they were able to save my parts & not buy new. I asked about all the hidden damages & he said that he already knows what is damaged & its included in the price. I couldn’t believe it , so I gave them the car before he changes his mind or realizes that he made a mistake. Needless to say there was no mistake . I picked up my car 4 days later and it looked great. These guys are real pros . definitely recommend them to everyone I know
This is the only place I would ever take my vehicle to get work done. My truck (2013 Jeep Cherokee) is my baby and when it was hit while parked, B&L made everything smooth and gave me reassurance that everything would be taken care of. It wasn't just because that is what they have to say, but you felt as though you were getting the best work from how their people are with you (ie. front desk, estimator, workers & even the owners who are not just sitting in their office, but getting their hands dirty too). They made sure all was done and they took care of all paperwork with the insurance and called the rental place to have us picked up. I didn't have to worry or do anything, they did it all and with a smile. I LOVED IT and the work that was done, you couldn't find anything wrong with it and it was done within the time they said it would be. No time changes, they called with updates. I was at easy with the stressfull situation it could have been, they made it easy and comforting. THANK YOU B&L AUTOMOTIVE....ALL OF YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!
This is a pre-review that will be completed after the work is done on my car. However, Derrick was very friendly and honest about the work needed to be done, regarding the paint job and quarter panels. He was also up front about the kind of work they do and how long they have been servicing the South Side of Chicago. I dropped my car without a deposit, only because I was under the impression I didn't need too. I did need a deposit, which at the moment I didn't have. Derrick allowed me to leave the car and bring the deposit later. I then had my cousin drop the deposit off and saw that the car was already being worked on. That in itself speaks volumes about a business. I would've never thought that they would start the work without the deposit, but then again I'm not sure they would do this for everyone. I'm not a special customer or anything like that, but I do think Derrick could tell the car has some sentimental value to me, which it does. I'll post my next review after I pickup my car next week.
These guys are top notch professionals. Their work speaks for itself. Their customer service is beyond the norm today. It reminds me of the days when people really cared about their customers. Dont settle for anything else, come here to get your car repaired and you will be happy and satisfied and in awe of the attention that you as a customer receive and the attention to detail that your car receives. Our 2011 Toyota Sienna Van had more than a few issues of damage. We brought it in for an estimate after checking photos online and being amazed at the quality. We were greeted by Oscar and Sasan who gave us an extremely detailed estimated that was below anyone else for just one repair. They were so kind -made sure they answered all of our questions and again-told us in detail what we would get done, broke it down by price on the computer and gave us an extremely good estimate. When we picked up our van this past friday- we could not believe our eyes-absolutely perfect!
I can not say the praises of European & US enough. As luck would have it I had someone throw a brick through the windshield of my vehicle. When the glass company was replacing the glass the windshield fell into the vehicle scratching most of the components of the dash, and then when they removed it they ended up scratching the hood. I took the vehicle over to Warren at European & US and can not be happier with the result. From the moment I met Warren I knew this was the right place to have taken my car. Rick in the office was always able to answer any and all questions I had in regard to the repair. They had rental a car company waiting for me when I got there to drop the car off, I did not have to wait for them! I call that customer service! I have got to say, my vehicle looks better now than when I bought it!!! If in the future I have the needs of Warren and his guys over there... no hesitation, I'm there!
I have taken my vehicle to B & L in the past for body repairs. They always did a great job on my cars. Recently I found that my truck's roof was damaged by rocks being thrown from overpass. Since my insurance deductible is high from a accident my teen daughter caused, I would have to pay out of pocket for the repairs. I got a great price and once the job wsas completed it looked great. The owner, Gino spotted a small pin bubble after completetion ( I didn't see it till I was shown), and didn't like it so he had it re-done. Again afterwards the truck looked like new. They did a excellent job on the repairs and I was completely satisfied. Anyone that wants great work that is guaranteed for a greatr price should stop by this place.
Excellent Shop! My 89 year old grandmother has gone to this shop for years and loves it there. They treat her with respect and consideration and they do NOT take advantage of her. In fact, they have helped her to save money on many occasions. I got into a car accident recently and my grandmother told me to call Max to set up an appointment. I am SO glad I did. He was very friendly, courteous and helpful and he made the process very easy. The staff there were very friendly and welcoming! They did great work on my car and so I have gone back there again for more work. They are honest and professional and saved me a great deal of money. I will only go here from now on when I need work on my car. I highly recommend them!
Hi, ignore the two reviews from before. The mechanic at this shop is not only nice, but he tries his hardest to make his customers happy. He does what he is told, and doesn't charge much at all. Yes, his office may be a mess, but he has everything he needs in his garage. His garage is clean, and holds six cars. I've seen this man, and what he can do. So please ignore the two morons that wrote under this review. This mechanic is awesome. There maybe a language barrier, but he still understands what someone is talking about when they bring in their cars to the office. I will always take my car to this auto repair shop because I know that my car is always fixed the way I want it too, and I can afford the price.
