I sat in the waiting room for over 4 hours went in for having bladder control problems so bad I had to wear a diaper when I finally got seen I was pretty much told that cuz I didn't have insurance there nothing they could do after sitting in the waiting room that long I was needing to change and was told they couldn't help me cuz I was not being seen was borderline made fun of for wearing a diaper I was so humiliated and embarrassed and later got a bill for 1200 dollars

My husband was in a serious car accident and this place was the best hospital I’ve ever been too. He was in ICU and the nurses there were so exceptional. They were all very helpful and answered all the questions I had in terms that myself and his family could understand, not in medical school language like you can get at times when you go to certain hospitals. They took care of him very well, and even when he was being mean, rude, and just out of hand they remained professional and courteous. My husband had two brain hemorrhages so at the time he had no control over his emotions or words that were coming out of his mouth and they understood that. I feel that it was with their care, a little hard work, and prayer that my husband was able to walk out of that hospital in a week. He went from not breathing on his own day one, day two he got words, day three sentences, and day four he could talk but not remember a thing, and by the end of the week he was good enough to come home. I believe it was due not only to a small miracle, but also their care that helped him recover so well. Even afterwards he was supposed to have his symptoms and issues a lot longer than he did, but they gave specific and great instruction for me to get set up with a healing plan when I got home to Michigan. My husband has since made a full recovery, and every doctor he's been too cannot believe he has healed at the rate he has, and I can't give enough credit to the nurses and doctors of this hospital. They were very persistent, and wouldn't let him give up. I really wish I could recall some of the nurses names but the one reminded me of Reese wither spoon in sweet home Alabama. She was just so genuine, and truly seemed to care about my husband’s well being. She helped me through the tragedy during those first 48 hours that was really intense for myself and my husband’s family. Thank you so much ETMC in Tyler Texas. You saved my husband’s life and I will forever be in your debt.
